I'm just not sure why the AP is doing it. They haven't seemed especially pro-Milei before this. Maybe because Trump is coming in to office and they want to suck up to the new guy in charge?

Looking through their few stories of the crisis in Argentina, AP plays it very "safe" and "objective". They parrot what Milei's government says, often at the top of the article. Then they put the stories of those affected most at the bottom, leaning on bootstrap stories most. These are less likely to get eyeballs and that is widely known. It is pretty standard reporting from them.
