A place to discuss politics and offer political commentary. Self posts are preferred, but links to current events and news are allowed. Opinion pieces are welcome on a case by case basis, and discussion of and disagreement about issues is encouraged!

The intent is for this community to be an area for open & respectful discussion on current political issues, news & events, and that means we all have a responsibility to be open, honest, and sincere. We place as much emphasis on good content as good behavior, but the latter is more important if we want to ensure this community remains healthy and vibrant.

Content Rules:

What might be a catchy hit to inspire the hearts and reinforce the identity of its majority following?

Have you ever heard an NRA member say, "The GOP has to earn my vote"?

The GOP does the one fucking thing the NRA asks of them, then adds little goodies like hating minorities and gays.

That's right. NRA members are single issue voters who vote red no matter who.

Occasionally they try to primary Republicans they don't like. But even when they fail to primary a Republican they don't like, they will still vote for that Republican in the general. Because they know that Republican will eventually get sick and tired of the constant primary challenges and come around.

You can only wear someone down if they stick around. Why "punish" a politician by letting Democrats win, when over time you can train them like a dog?

That's how the NRA gets results.
