Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

She should've eaten it like a normal person: as a dare when you're like 8 years old.

Definitely ate a milkbone on a dare as a kid... honestly I don't even remember it tasting bad, the only thing I remember is that it was - unsurprisingly - dry as fuck.

For the record, Hill’s Science Diet was gross. Maybe my friends should’ve dared me to eat a treat instead

I buy my dog a particular brand of dog treat because the damn things smell SO GOOD. Literally like a bakery. I've never eaten one, but I take a big whiff of the bag every time it's open.

I have an aunt that makes dog treats for sale at farmers markets.

They're basically peanut butter cookies. (I think the big thing is no salt, no sugar, and some special PB that's not got additives.)

[–] Today 8 points 1 month ago

I've made peanut butter cbd dog treats. My husband complains they're too dry and bland because i use unsalted, unsweetened peanut butter. The dogs like them.

[–] jeffw 5 points 1 month ago

Alright, now you sound like my late uncle who told me how his carob dog treats were so high quality humans can eat them… I guess I ate more dog food as a kid than I initially thought, but they were NOT good

[–] Late2TheParty 1 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Why don't you taste-test your dog's food?

[–] Lost_My_Mind 4 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I'm so confused. Why would take away your own single upvote? That zero looks sad. Like it's saying "Even I don't agree with what I'm saying!"

[–] KnightontheSun 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

They did the same in another thread. Perhaps they’re trying to upvote themselves not realizing it removes the point instead.

[–] Late2TheParty 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It just feels odd to have an upvote for simply commenting. I mean, it's not like I'm getting life points or anything. Up or downvotes don't really matter. It just feels... disingenuous? to have some sort of point for - what I feel - is nothing. So, I just remove it. Maybe I'll retrain myself to leave it? IDK.

[–] KnightontheSun 3 points 1 month ago

lol, no problem friend. You do you!

Grandma Lucy's organic dog treats are made to be fully human and dog safe and I find them just as tasty as the dog does. They're like unsweetened Teddy Grahams. I know this because my brother-in-law gets them for his dog and is very amused to offer them as a snack to people as he and the dog both enjoy them.

My parents had puppies when I was born and I used to roam around with them all day. The day lil baby me discovered that I could access the milkbone cupboard, we feasted like kings.

Be honest, 18 years old
