  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

She set a tone at the very start when she walked right into his space to shake his hand and made him almost pull back into himself in response. She was in charge and never stopped being in charge.

Harris also managed what neither Joe Biden nor Hillary Clinton nor any of the 2016 Republicans managed to do which is successfully bait Donald Trump and get under his skin. Within a few minutes Trump was visibly angry and not in a way that empowered him but in a way that made him lose focus, go down rabbit holes and generally go off onto damaging tangents. Spittle anger, not righteous anger, shall we say.

A message for anyone who this person's tripe is resonating with:

Do you know who has control over the price of oil? OPEC. Not the President or his or her admin. There are a few things the POTUS can do to affect gas prices in the States, such as pulling from the Strategic Reserve, but if OPEC says it wants oil prices higher, they just cut production and bam. Oil is more expensive. And they do that shit when there are Dems in office here because they know that gets people pissed off so they elect Republicans.

But you knew that already, just like you know the POTUS can't really affect the cost of food. Right now, all the major food producers, of which there are a few very large ones, are making stupid levels of profits, ranging from 50% to almost 400% YoY between 2022 and 2023. There is literally nothing in Harris' (or Biden's) toolbox that they can use to lower food prices that the likes of this dishonest person would approve of. Imagine the post if the Biden Admin did any sort of price control! "Socialist!!!" That's what they'd scream.

And what about housing prices? That's more on State and Local government and I actually have issues with her saying she can fix it from the Federal level. It's about greed and bilking workers out of their hard-earned money by the over-compensated billionaire class, and while the Democrats have their problems and certainly slide up to the money well to gorge themselves, let's make one thing absofuckinglutely clear: anything the Dems will do, the Qooqs this poster is trying to get elected instead will do it 10 times worse with a side of Project 2025 for your stupidity.
