They are typically far-left authoritarians. They love authoritarianism as long is it is pretending to be a socialist or communist economic system.

Tankies are far-right trolls claiming to be far-left. They support authoritarianism and violence against the vulnerable, which definitionally makes them right-wing, not left-wing.
