I had booked a ticket for their Berlin concert this friday, but today I got this in the mail:

“Due to the unexpected overlap of dates related to the new production in which Percival takes part, we regret to announce the cancellation of the concerts. The Percival band is bound by an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) and we are unable to provide further details.”

Do you think this "new production" is The Witcher 4?

This is outrageous! I was replaying The Witcher 3, and when I got to the A Hallowed Horn quest, I remembered that last time, Mithias got annoyed at me for killing the thieves. So this time, when I got to the thieves, and already knew that the horn was in a chest, rather than any of the thieves inventories, so I didn't actually have to kill them, I took care to not kill any of the thieves, while still retrieving the horn - which was a difficult job, as I couldn't loot the chest while the thieves were nearby, so I had to lure the thieves away from the chest, then circle back, and in the extremely narrow time window between when the battle music stops, and when the thieves return to the chest - as they start to return immediately once the battle music stops, loot the chest - made even more difficult by the game's janky input mechanics, where it seems to treat all inputs as a queue (moving, pressing 'e' to loot, etc), so I had to make sure not to queue up too much movement so I could quickly loot the chest before the thieves returned - anyway, I did it, after a lot of effort and time, and the cheek! Geralt still said that he killed the thieves when talking to Mithias, as if all that effort to not harm a single hair on their heads was for nothing!

I'm wondering because it definitely does when they are transforme, but what about before the magic/curse takes affect? Are they just normal humans until it kicks in and sets off the medallion?

I am not the artist. I just had these bookmarked because I wanted to use them as "covers" for the folders where I had saved the digital books.

[Blood and Wine Spoilers ahead]

I know this is a very unpopular opinion. Nevertheless, would like to share why I think this.

Syanna planned the death of a handful, manipulated detlaff to seek revenge. Her motives, understand them or not, might not justify her means. The key point for me here is the number of deaths planned.

Detlaff though initially manipulated, later decided to murder 100s of innocents on his own will. His being more emotional than normal can explain this among other things but does not justify this. He was solely responsible for these deaths.

Anna chose to trade the life of her sister, even after learning she was responsible for the murders, for the lives of 100s of innocent civilians whom she could have saved. It was just plain stupid for a ruler who claims to care so much for her people.

Having said this I would like to admit that I do understand the hate that syanna gets, and respect the opinions. But even after 2 playthroughs, I simply don’t agree.

Just wanted to share my appreciation of the game.

I grabbed a copy of this game a year ago, taking advantage of a sale and ahead of the massive update. Then forgot about it, never touched it.

Fast forward a year later, and now I got a steam deck and decided to dive into the game. I love it. I'm just a few hours in but I can already say this is among my favorite games. The broad openness of the world, the level of detail, the characters, the interactive dialogs, the items, the strategies, the game mechanics. It's a very involved game. It really is up there. Thank you CDPR for this game and this remake.

So I only listened to english audiobooks and now I'm interested in getting physical copy of the books. Do you have experience with Witcher books in other languages and how does the translation fare?

In a new live-stream with Ukrainian fans by Fantastic Talk (s), Sapkowski was asked what was he working on lately. Here is his answer:

“I never say these things because with me you never know. Maybe I’ll do something, maybe I won’t. And so far, when I said that I would write something, and then I didn’t write it, people complained as if I had deceived them and as if I had lied."

Can any sharp-eyed Lemmings tell where this screenshot is from in the world of the Witcher 3? No prizes but, y'know, pride and accomplishment.

Will leave this up for a bit to allow folk time to answer as this isn't a super busy community.

Now, I just need to unbox it properly and paint all the miniatures!

Did I miss something? I feel like I need to rewatch the other seasons because several things just make no sense this season. Maybe I'm just getting old.

From the games and shows, which soundtrack do you like the most?

The music from the Netflix series is kinda the best thing about it. But Witcher 3 is my favorite. The older games are also nice, but just really feel like game music from the 2000s. I don't like the music from the Blood Origins, but also haven't watched it...
