There's space for 20 rows of pumpkins and each row is 87 blocks which that adds up to 1740 when fully grown

Hi all, recently I got my partner an older Lenovo laptop (x280) to replace her aging Chromebook. I swapped the windows OS for Linux, and installed MC, hoping to get her into playing with me. She does enjoy playing, but that computer is just too weak to run it without it looking like shit and lagging like crazy. I'd like to get her something else that would be dedicated to playing minecraft, but because it would EXCLUSIVELY be for playing MC, I don't want to spend a lot of cash. It doesn't have to be a laptop (I'd expect it to be cheaper to not be one), but I'd like it to be smaller than a full-fledged desktop. Her current x280 has an intel i7 (1.9ghz) and 16GB RAM, so I'm guessing the issue is the video card or lack there of. I'm not looking for minimum specs, so answers from official documentation is pretty hard to apply here. Does anyone have any experience running MC smoothly on something like a NUC or other miniPC?

(we only play multiplayer Java edition on my self hosted server running Paper. No mods yet, but I think eventually Ill get into the mod game.)

I thought this recent Hard Drive article was pretty funny, so I figured I'd post it here.

I migrated my account back in June, got a mail saying it was successful and didn't think more of it. Today after not playing MC since 2019 I felt like playing again after seeing that Tekkit was back. However when I log into my Microsoft account, my only Microsoft account, all I get is the option to buy the game again, even though I've owned the game since early Alpha.

I've tried contacting support, but the reply I got said they don't help with migration related issues anymore.

Anyone have had the same issue as me? Is there any hope to resolve it or am I SOL?

My searches only lead to info on Java Minecraft so I can't find any good info on world manipulation for Bedrock Edition.

I believe I was previously using PojavLauncher, it came bundled with my Retroid Pocket 3+, but I could have sworn it was wrapped up in some kind of controversy.

I could easily be blending together memories of PojavLauncher and PolyMC but I thought it had something to do with people using pirated versions of the game with PojavLauncher.

Either way, is PojavLauncher still the way to go? I'm not a fan of the micro transactions Bedrock edition offers.

How does this happen?

I have a 3 player vanilla survival realm and everything has been working fine for 100-200 hours of gameplay until this past weekend. We noticed that monsters suddenly weren’t spawning when all three players are in the game. If one player leaves, monsters immediately begin spawning. It doesn’t matter which player leaves the game.

Things I’ve tried:

• Set game to peaceful for some time (force all hostile mobs to despawn) then back to normal difficulty.
• Player 1 was playing on PC and tried switching to Xbox X.
• Player 3 has a child account: age was set to 21+.
• Tried eliminating many non-hostile mobs in case we were near the limit.
• Tried downloading the game to my Xbox and hosting locally. Still no mobs even though Realms wasn’t involved.

We are playing Bedrock edition 1.20.51. This is my son’s first time playing survival and he is super invested in our world. We are all frustrated that one person has to log out for the others to fight monsters. Please help!

It's supposed to be a adjustable pulse extender that prolongs the signal depending on how many stuff there are inside the hoppers, but it keeps going nonstop?

my automatic sugarcane farm seems kinda slow, how do i improve this design

redstone newbie here, my old design closes too early so i created this ugly contraption. I have a feeling that improvements are possible, but not sure how. please advise

I'm not much of a Minecraft player. But when I want to make some planks my crafting menu goes from oak to spruce to jungle to whatever... It's like I have to time the fucking thing.

Is there a way to make this stop happening? I want to make my planks out of a specific material to save another material. That's annoying. I'd prefer it just have all the options. And the right click menu doesn't help. It lists pictures with no useful tooltips.

What am I missing? Did I fuck up my installation by installing Optifine at some point in the past I don't even remember? Pretty sure it's v1.19.xx

Just.. is this expected or is it something I broke? If it's the former.. is there an extension to disable it?

I build a classic "platforms surrounded with trapdoors" xp farm.

The spawn rates are quite nice but once a second player joins the game, spawn rates drop to zero immediately.

If the player goes more than 120 blocks away, the spawns start again but at an abysmal rate.

Does anyone know what the problem seems to be? The farm is high in the sky 128 blocks above the ocean so nothing can spawn except there.

I might have read something about mobs spawning between them if multiple players are on the server. I suppose I could check that.

1-2 years ago I started a play through where I can't update to next version until I have collected all obtainable items. I used prism launcher to do this. Later I added few exceptions such as potion, enchanted book, arrows and firework permutations, that I only need to obtain only one of them if they have different item ID.

Statistics or prism launcher isn't quite accurate, but my 2hz redstone clock says 0x2F5D00 = 430 hours, which I made in beta 1.7 around day 400 and it has been running since. According to the pastebin notes I finished beta 1.7 at 83hr 42min playtime and combined 510 hours sounds about right. I rarely sleep in game because I'm underground.

The launcher won't install, won't launch, the whole thing is broken. Anyone else getting this?

Just like the title says, I'm looking for a mod or a map to make survival challenging. And when I say survival, I mean stuff like getting food and protecting yourself from monsters.
