I would expect The Onion not to push any particular perspective. They are pushing one. That is not satire. That is obnoxious. If they want to be an opinion publication, they should be an opinion publication and not pretend that they haven’t taken a side.

Obviously you should do whatever you want with your money but if you're sleeping on some of the ones I suggested, definitely check them out before cancelling!
