Seriously, why? And why people don’t think that’s weird?

You know the gist guys: wait for the second or third generation and let the suckers take the fall first.

I'm thinking about getting back to uni to get my Masters and later a PhD. The thing is, I'm out of academia for more than 20 years, and completely at loss. I don't quite know where to begin. Any tips?

To all my LGBTQ+ people and folks of color here, remember: the bigots, racists, nazis and haters can buy guns, but so can you.

I'm ignorant about that, care to elaborate?

Isn't Eugen Rochko the owner of Mastodon? Isn't he and his company responsible for what happens to it?

Motorola had it right, the sensor was right where my index fingers rested on the back. Unfortunately this isn't "premium" nor "hi-tech" enough to sell phones.

Hot take here: they're not wrong. AI speeds up tons of processes that many traditional artists won't be able to keep up, just like digital painting sped up tons of processes that traditional painting could not keep up.

This doesn't mean that traditional art will die. Physical art will surely find it's niche and it will be sought after by collectors, for example. But in the commercial environment, faster is better and AI will be a factor.

Nope, not at all, but had a friend who wouldn't shut up about it a couple of years ago. Needless to say we're not friends anymore, he was really gross with his wife.

This reads like copypasta from a "red pill" forum

TL, DR: To sum it all up: it's a good idea to lean forward and move quickly when you're caught in the rain. But careful: leaning forward increases Sh. To really stay drier, you'll need to increase your speed enough to compensate for this.

And what the hell are all supposed to mean? Also, get off my lawn.

EDIT: I'm talking about "cold", not "cool". I'm seeing it being used along with snowflakes and freezing emoji, sometimes even saying "ice".

Hear me out: if someone believes in horoscopes, they know what each sign mean. Which means they recognise themselves into a sign. Which means they will mostly act in ways to conform to that sign, giving you a way to figure that person out. The sign tells it all, it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Can someone recommend songs about going to life alone and feeling good about it? There's too much depressing stuff about loneliness around. All I have on my playlist for now is:

Whitesnake - Here I go again

Morrissey - I'm OK by myself

Jimi Hendrix - Stone Free

The Beaches - Me & me

Oh, you're saying that Recall is a privacy nightmare and a sweet target for malware? Surprised_pikachu.jpg

I was looking around for some GPS equipment for my motorcycle and came across some dirt cheap (in comparison) cycling computers with GPS tracking. This got me wondering, has anyone tried it? Since I don't need nor want all that fancy stuff like tracking, consumption, points of interest, etc, and just want a map, a route and something to show the way, would that be a good idea?

It's not that I can't. The problem is that when I'm with someone, I deeply yearn to be alone. I'd love to have my life for myself, with no responsibility with no one else - just me.

But then, when I'm alone, I feel like a failure, like I need a relationship to feel complete, and I fucking hate that. So I end up in another relationship, and after two years I can't stand it anymore, and the cycle repeats.

What the hell. Has anyone suffered from something like that? How can you be alone and not feel lonely? How to kill this need to be with someone?

EDIT: Thanks for all the answers, I'm taking every single one into consideration. Please, keep them coming.

It's upside-down world here, people. Downvoted away, that is the true hallmark of an unpopular opinion.
