Well I meant all competitors. And by cyclist I mean do you currently cycle on the regular. I don't wear lycra either since I ride downhill.

Downhill and Enduro racers use wireless groupsets pretty much 100% of the time now. A few grams means a lot to guys where 1st and 2nd place are separated by a few hundredths of a second.

Since everyone uses it and it comes on higher end bikes it has and will start to filter down to the lower end bikes and eventually everything will be wireless. Same thing happened with disc brakes and single chainring groupsets.

Are you a current cyclist? Because quite a bit of modern bikes have electronic and wireless parts now.

If something is lighter in weight racers will use it. And since racers will use them then so will hobbyists because roadie dorks always follow the peloton.

I’ve seen this happen many times because of riding downhill.

It’s not necessarily a misaligned derailleur. It will eventually happen to any bike because the derailleur hanger is made of sintered metal which will break easily. This saves your derailleur from more severe harm. Usually for road bikes this happens from age and natural vibrations. For us downhill bikers it’s usually from smacks against trees and rocks.

See what happens when you capitulate to a bully? He doesn’t stop bullying. He pushes more and bullies harder. The only way to stop a bully is to (metaphorically) punch him in his mouth.

I know you recently moved. Have you considered the pay is lower because the benefits are higher? In the UK they have universal healthcare which means that part of your salary which used to go to healthcare is now not needed. Perhaps that’s why they gave you a lower offer than you’re used to in american wages?

Unfortunately people will just think "Hey I've seen this bird flu in the news and it didn't seem bad." Then they ignore all virologist recommendations and we have a second pandemic.

That's actually a really good counter point that I hadn't thought of.
