Oh non ! Les IA vont nous remplacer 😱
Yeah... I am a big fan of Mick Gordon's work and I was very disappointed to learn about all this mess.
Damn, I saw the promotional video from ID yesterday with gameplay from DOOM: Dark ages. I am beyond excited for this game ! Although I will have to convince my SO the computer needs an upgrade. Also, it's seems the release price for the basic game is going to be 80€ on steam, that's a bit steep... Back in 2020 I paid 90€ for DOOM Eternal, with the 2 extensions and soundtrack included (the soundtrack didn't turn has good as expected). Anyway, I plan to wait and see ProtonDB reports and confirm it runs flawless on Linux before buying.

I am proud of you 🥹
After asking more precise information to the concerned person: Stuttgart university, non-EU foreigner has to pay 1500€/semester. If married to EU citizen, it becomes 190€/semester.
Centuries of struggle to improve human rights, painstakingly, little bit by little bit. It takes a couple of days to wipe it away. Sickening.
It sure is not free. I am very fortunate it didn't have to worry about money during my studies, as my parents were supporting me. But for my friend who was "boursier" and didn't have to pay anything for the tuition, he still had to go in debt in order to have money for all the essentials (groceries, gas, etc). Studying engineering in France it not something you can do while having a part time job. We had around 35h of classes per week not including self study, practicing for exams and the almost mandatory parties :D
I didn't qualify as "boursier", my tuition was around 400€/year through out bachlore and master degrees (école d'ingénieurs). It's not so expensive. I still was able to claim 90€/month of help for housing (CAF). My friends who qualified paid 0€ for tuition, and they also got more for housing but I don't remember how much. This was from 2011~2016.
In south Germany today, a foreigner, who can't claim any financial help, has to pay ~~3000~4000€/semester~~ 1500€/semester.
Still far far away from what education costs in USA from what I've heard.
Edit: Corrected the price of tuition in Germany.

This asshole made me scream in rage and frustration
Oh p'tain! Bien trouvé. Je me rappelais plus que Dieudonné avait joué dans ce film.
If you want to bring more people to Linux, preaching is really not a good way to do that. We are not a religion, we are not a cult. We are an enthousiastic bunch or nerds :)
Avoid behind judgemental of people that use Windows, Mac or other proprietary software. Do not talk about Linux in length when it was not solicited.
Instead, you can show how enthusiastic you are about all the cool things you are doing with your computer that happens to be running Linux!
When people around you, do make the choice to switch, of their own will, then offer your help with all the patience and understanding you have.
All the best 🐧🐧🐧
