Keep your base happy and throw in enough bullshit to bring in moderates - benefit increases - tax cuts for wealthy - both short term solutions that have proven to deliver more cash flow, the issue is, the cash flow ALWAYS finds it's way into the pockets of the rich. Increased rent, increased cost of living that is waaaay beyond any known or unknown inflation and tax increases, increased costs of services, and if somehow they can't get you with those, insane inflation to catch all the non essentials limiting how much you can do with your free cash, dwindling it not because there is less stuff to go around, but because some dragon decided their pile should be as big as the other guys, which made the other guy angry because they want the biggest pile... So when we are all crammed 2 family units per 2 bedroom apartment with massive amounts of empty units sitting around, and social security is insolvent so our elders are living with us, the wealthy continued to replace good paying american jobs with low paying h1-b visa indentured slaves and no one can afford to retire with the cost of living, and the cost of living continued to soar until a 2bedrom apartment is 1 full months pay for what is considered then a well paid engineer job and the people stealing from us with highway robbery on prices, and out right exploitation of quality US employees that are afraid of being replaced by foreign trump approved h1-b slaves.... Then when no one can afford to go to the movies, eat out, or go to a concert, when the economy collapses and both parties move to remove hyuuuuge swaths of OUR legal protections that were the only remaining stumbling blocks to them just turning the hoses, dogs, and bootlickers, loose on us because "don't blame us you can't pull yourself up by your own sneakers!" Like it actually means something and isn't how in real life you would in fact fall flat on your face, by literally grabbing your own foot and jerking on it while standing up. You could use your feet as a brace, but you're grabbing a hold of something other than you foot to stand up. So while they are jeering at us through the fence, our rights eroded, living functionally homeless, every last bit of the only thing we have of value to them exploited thru cheap labor, then I bet you people are still going to be saying "democrats and republicans are totally different entities not two sides of the same coin". Their leaderships actions differ, but their end goal appears to be the same. You and I, as indentured slaves, working in warehouses that are locked closed during 16hr work days until a shift change occurs and they just execute, jail, or kick out of society anyone that says more than "thank you may I have another". Just because some members of the parties don't agree with this philosophy, their leadership continually supports and vocalizes through their parties propaganda machines to support policies that are short term Band-Aids but long term disasters.

The timeline IS fragile, but the whole of existence is not in regards to time travel. If you go into the past and change it, the timeline changes, but only because the original timeline had you going back and changing it. You can see yourself. You can interact with yourself, but if everything is exactly as it should be you really don't want to go mucking around and find yourself in a world where the south lost the civil war but things are thousands of times worse and you killed the ancesotor of the inventor of time travel after breaking your machine and can no longer access the timeline to fix any issues you may have caused.

Only 1 timeline matters. You're own. Everything else becomes fluid around your timeline when you time travel.

Wormholes. Travel some place faster than light and see light from the past from your source of travel when you arrive, travel again back to your original spot and theoretically you travel backwards in time to before the light from the past that you just saw was even produced yet. Might work the same for just seeing the future if you glimpse through a wormhole that leads to someplace in the future by doing an Allie oop to further into the future someplace far away, then back to someplace in your future but your destinations past. Speed and gravity both impact time. A wormhole fits that description to a T.

It's simple really. We need as much cheap power produced as possible. With whatever taxes we need to produce them. Gas has had tax cuts my entire life so society could run on oil.
