Yeah eng have definitely had the pick of the conditions. A real testament to the aussies that we're still in a dominant position
Pretty evenly poised after the second day I would say. ENG have done well to get back into the game. Lyon's potential injury is quite worrying, is this the McGrath-rolling-his-ankle moment?? 😬
It's exciting to be part of something new and exciting :D Let's see how that grows after the 30th!
Thanks mate 👍
Oh cool, are there any pictures of it? I hadn't heard of it but then I've been a bit out of the loop the last couple of weeks
Interesting, most of the Soviet rockets that uses hot staging had a truss between each stage to allow the exhaust to vent. As far as I know starship doesn't have anything like this yet, I wonder if they'll add some or if they're just gonna see what happens without it 😂
I think it's precipitated a change in culture that was long overdue. I've never liked sledging or how much the Aussie's used to do it and it has been a fresh air how the team is conducting itself nowadays under Cummins. I'm now fully proud to be an Aussie supporter of the current team.
Last day is set up beautifully, here's hoping the rain holds out enough to leave enough time for Australia to chase down the target ;)
Yeah it's been great, at the end of the day I just want to see some good cricket. The game has ebbed and flowed so far to both sides, day 3 will be fascinating, if aus can push 450+ they'll be in the driver's seat, but still in the bazball era even that might not be enough!
I think Lyon may have a big part to play, this sort of hard pitch is where he's done well in Australia, though it probably won't bounce as much. Excited to see where it goes! If aus can win this one I think that will set up the series beautifully
Oh cool, thanks for sharing mate. I hadn't heard of Wasabi before, might investigate using it for one of my personal projects
Surely can't drop Boland. The problem is Starc will be targetted by the poms I feel, but the selectors won't want to drop him due to the variety he gives + those beautiful footmarks for Lyon to target.
A scintillating second session yesterday! The aussie batters did incredibly well to only be 2 down (courtesy of some Marnus luck). Uzzie a rock as usual. Warner may not have scored many, but soaked up a lot of balls, so not unhappy with that.
What do we reckon? A lead of 450 and put them in 10 minutes before tea?
