I have been with the Galaxy lineup since the original S model. Switched to the Pixel 7 Pro this year and I'm not looking back. What a phenomenal experience it's been. Samsung has been increasing their bloat over the years and I am just done with it.
And you want to explain the difference, then decide it's not worth the effort.
I encountered the same. What I did to fix it was back out after becoming a tester and go back in.

Pixel 7 Pro here. Nobody has mentioned to me about messages failing. That's not to say it isn't happening, just that no one has said anything. I absolutely love the phone, for what it's worth.
