All true, but more importantly in my opinion, that's the plant that survived. How many seeds and sprouts never became anything for that one to thrive.

It doesn't matter if it were being used for its intended purpose, parking like this is absolutely wrong.

Clever as heck.

In SA it's different!

I'm a big fan of open world for immersion. Oblivion when it came out, GTA SA and 5, RDR2.

But something that surprised me about immersion was Cataclysm DDA (with good tile and sound packs). It takes a long time to get into the groove of the game as a first timer, but once you do, the emergent stories that come out of it are incredibly immersive.

Bullet hands down. Best handling of all the sports cars, and the most pleasant motor sound.

As an anecdote about this, most countries in South America charge a 100% import tax on almost all electronic devices (laptops, phones, pc parts, cameras, etc). Not only the exchange rates already make these purchases almost impossible, they also have to pay double. The ripple effects on the future of a country where people don't have access to the tools they might need to develop themselves is tragic.

This is the photo I use as an example when people complain about editing in photography. The diagonal shadow was famously added in post production:

I was like that for almost 4 years, during and after the whole covid thing. I could engage with activities outside of my house (gym, sports, going out with friends), but inside was apathy.

Only thing that helped was ADHD medication.

Dune is incredibly unique. Scifi without computers and genetic magic. All politics. The books are outstanding.

Caves of Qud was my first contact with post post-apocalypse. Can't even begin to convey how strange and magical everything feels in that universe.

Hello,

Using the default web UI, sometimes post images don't load, both for local and federated posts.

One example:
https://lemmy.world/post/20205083

Looking at the console, the requests to both the thumbnail and the main image fail with a 500:
https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/45cab39c-d212-4581-bb8f-f9276e631531.gif?format=webp&thumbnail=256
https://lemmy.world/pictrs/image/45cab39c-d212-4581-bb8f-f9276e631531.gif?format=webp

The response body for both contains: {"code":"panic","msg":"Panic in blocking operation"}

Removing both parameters, format and thumbnail, returns the correct media.

Am I doing something wrong?
