I agree with that if his statement were just based on conjecture alone, but I think he was commenting on rumors that already existed. I think it was the NY Post that originally said Amazon and Disney would be interested.
If Amazon were to outbid everyone else, what would that mean for viewership? Sure WWE wouldn't care because they'd be making a ton of money, but it would literally just be streaming at that point. AEW would be the biggest promotion on broadcast TV.
Updated it with a screenshot.
Can you imagine him doing that to Gunther, or even beating him due to shenanigans and ending his year plus IC reign?
Judging by his first year or so, I would have never thought Dominik Mysterio would be one of my favorite guys in WWE. It's unreal.
I suspect it's very real, but hopefully keeping the ones who have issues on separate shows and having everyone else rotate around them will work. But I would think if it's not directly addressed and hashed out, it's just going to fester. How will they coexist at PPVs and other big events?
I'm all for this. I've always been a fan since he was the 1-2-3 Kid and getting upset wins over Razor Ramon. He's never gotten the appreciation he deserves for being a trailblazer, and last I saw he can still go. He's also younger than Jericho. I hate that his name became synonymous with go-away heat just because he was booked poorly.
That's Sami Callihan's promotion, right? I've seen some of their stuff! I wish my local indies were that good. There are a couple that run shows near us, but they are the most redneck, small-time indies you could imagine. My son and I still have a blast when we go.
I was alive but not sentient enough to remember his hey-day. My first memories of him were as Col. Mustafa during Slaughter's pro-Iraq heel run. He was definitely a character!
Unless I missed something, I don't think AEW or WBD have announced a new deal yet. There were rumors of a massive billion dollar extension in the middle of the Collision rumors, but that's it.
I don't think he's been officially announced. After last week, I could see him not being there and having Heyman address The Usos.
