On his podcast, Freddie said he knows for a fact Amazon is very interested because they made him an offer for his planned wrestling promotion.

If Amazon were to outbid everyone else, what would that mean for viewership? Sure WWE wouldn't care because they'd be making a ton of money, but it would literally just be streaming at that point. AEW would be the biggest promotion on broadcast TV.

I'm not sure I buy the logic of "if amazon's interested in my promotion, they must be interested in WWE." Amazon might be willing to invest a few million for a few years of a studio production like Lucha Underground, but not interested in bidding hundreds of millions for the rights to WWE.

I agree with that if his statement were just based on conjecture alone, but I think he was commenting on rumors that already existed. I think it was the NY Post that originally said Amazon and Disney would be interested.
