What’s your prefer two-factor authentication app for iOS?

I'm looking for an app that offers the best combination of platform compatibility (preferably available on Mac OS, iPad OS, and iOS), security, usability, and reliability.

It would be great if the app is open source and has a backup feature as well.

I came across a recent Wirecutter article from The New York Timesthat recommends Cisco DUO Mobile as the top choice, followed by Authy and Google Authenticator.

I would greatly appreciate your insights and security perspectives.

Thank you

Reminds me of the time when a former U.S. President suggested ‘nuking hurricanes’ to stop them hitting America

https://theguardian.com/us-news/2019/aug/26/donald-trump-suggests-nuking-hurricanes-to-stop-them-hitting-america-report

Deloitte's chief economist, Dawn Desjardins, said there have been some recent signs that the economy is taking a turn, with the latest job report for June showing the unemployment rate rising and wage growth slowing.

But the overall picture suggests inflation is still sticky, wage growth is high and the economy continues to churn, she said.

The report says 35 per cent of those asked say they already don't make enough to cover their bills and debt payments, up from 30 per cent in April and a record high for the survey. It also says a record 48 per cent of those surveyed are concerned about their current level of debt.

Your spending must be quite substantial! I'm genuinely curious to learn which credit card provides such impressive cash back rewards. Are there no annual maximum limits on the rewards?

I like it, but no cobra chickens? 🦆

Stumbled upon an excellent podcast interview featuring Evan Neufeld, CFP, and Aaron Hector, CFP, R.F.P., TEP.

They delve deep into the topic of FHSA (First-Time Home Buyer Savings Account) and cover all the crucial details you need to know.

From the intricate rules and eligibility criteria to contributions, deductions, and even tax efficiencies, they leave no stone unturned.

They also discuss what happens if you don't buy a home, qualifying withdrawals, and the transfer of funds. Moreover, they provide a comprehensive comparison between FHSA and Home Buyers Plan, as well as insights on how it stacks up against TFSA, RRSP, and RESP.

I highly recommend giving it a listen!

The Canadian Money Roadmap, Episode 77

The country added 60,000 jobs, driven by gains in full-time work, while the unemployment rate rose to 5.4 per cent, the highest since February 2022, Statistics Canada reported Friday in Ottawa. The figures beat expectations for a gain of 20,000 positions, but missed the forecast for a jobless rate of 5.2 per cent, according to the median estimate in a Bloomberg survey.

Hello everyone! Which iOS app for Mastodon do you consider to be your favorite thus far?

I'm seeking a recommendation that possesses a user interface and overall experience similar to Apollo for Reddit or Memmy for Lemmy.

Thank you for your assistance.

Great job! Lovin’ the app so far.

My only grievance and humble request is that the post screen when opening-loading app should have the same cute, tiled mouse logo.

Thank you for considering my request. I appreciate your time and attention.

Please forgive me for my ignorance on the subject, but is it possible to create a Mastodon account add to a Lemmy app, e.g. Memmy?

Or are Lemmy & Mastdon two very different platforms, Like Facebook & Reddit?
