Waiting for Apple to somehow try and link low sales to their repairability additions.

I’ve posted this same comment many times… I’m still on the ‘X’ and the most compelling reason I have to upgrade is my case is falling apart, and if I’m going to get a new case anyway…
Just for some perspective I’m talking about where you need to remotely turn on your block heater so the diesel can return to liquid, the engine can turn on so the cabin heats up enough to allow the door locks and handles to function and let you in the car.
Also driving to work in a hot car in southern Europe waiting for the AC to kick in really sucks, we should enjoy journeys, not just survive them.
I’ve had to ask Kia Europe for clarification on what happens when their 7 years of Kia Connect finishes. At the moment no one really knows if it will just continue or end up being a hidden subscription.
Maybe you don’t live somewhere where your car is insanely hot or frozen over a lot? I’ve lived in both climates and remote start/ac/heat is a game changer.
You’re right I should have said “”accidentally””
If you overclock it and it starts to crash Intel say “sorry warranty void”, if Intel accidentally overclock it and drastically reduce its life “…”
I’ve not kept up to date with this but wasn’t the problem that as soon as you run these CPUs they are getting permanently damaged? Surely they have to recall them?
They have not announced the ongoing cost of Kia Connect in the EU either. They are including the service for 7 years but don’t specify what happens when the timer runs out… so owners don’t know if a lot of their cars features are not going to work, or if continuation will be free, 100s or 1000s of euros.
I did I only ever enabled one at a time. They all had their issues with Twitch and YT blocking though. I’ve not found a solution for Twitch that works well, so I just sub to the occasional streamer now.
Where is a Republican with a shovel when you need one?
As an XPS13 owner I am really glad I went for the 16GB variant after reading this.
It was an epic rabbit hole though, well worth the time.
