The thing is that none of us celebrate violence and certainly not murder, but when this is the closest thing to justice that we get for people like him?

Speaking of obnoxious self importance
Why does someone always smugly point this out in these threads?
Yeah maybe you're right. The thing that gets me is if they really understood how bad it could get under someone like Trump, like really understood how hard things can get and how fast it can happen - no way they'd hand him the keys to the country. There's just a real disconnect there that I will never understand.
I will never get these people struggling to understand the lesser evil rationale. Maybe it's just on a scale and timeline that is for some too difficult to really internalize.
It would be except I forgot it existed while it was in purgatory on Epic
Look Duras, we want you to express yourself, okay? Now if you feel that the bare minimum is enough, then okay. But some Klingons choose to wear more and we encourage that, okay? You do want to express yourself, don't you?
I'm 100% for assisted suicide. I don't think anyone should have the say except the individual. I'd be happy with the plan you laid out, seems reasonable for everyone.
As far as using it as a penalty there are two reasons I'm against it:
- I want it to slowly eat at them that they were afforded a mercy that they didn't afford others.
- I want to see to it that they live long enough to fully understand the pain and misery they caused
I honestly wish it was possible to exend a convict's life as long as possible to see that they really do understand and finally feel the shame of their actions.
I am against the death penalty and would only give it consideration in the case of billionaires
NOTHING WILL EVER CHANGE as long as the super rich exist. No matter what small improvements are made, as long as they're around they'll find a way to fuck it up in order to enrich themselves.
I think the powers that be underestimate our thirst for justice. This is the closest thing to justice for the rich we've seen in - maybe our lives?
I don't want to live in a world of vigilante justice but this kind of thing is inevitable when the system fails us for as long as it has.
