Just to add, this proves:

  1. that Americans in general aren't following along on their own
  2. that Biden could have influenced the discourse and been a force for good IF HE HAD BEEN COMMUNICATING LIKE THIS ALL ALONG. Unfortuntately they decided to 'show not tell' and let Trumpism fill the communication void with their lying bullshit for four years. Joe's biggest failure and one we shouldn't forgive him for.

Oh damn, just comparing it to 'oligarchy' and it's much bigger.

Huh, this actually seems legit. Compared to my ultra-scientific Google trends comparo it was half as popular of a search as Taylor Swift at its peak, which seems pretty big.

Nope, for whatever structural reason, the harmful stuff can penetrate chicken but not beef. Chicken has to be cooked through.

What the hell, this one caught me off guard. He was another one I thought would live forever.

Yeah it's awful. I feel bad for those people when I go in there now. Sure they could take it upon themselves to learn everything but let's be honest, for the amount they get paid it's only worth doing the bare minimum to not get fired.

Not to mention that employees are responsible for some of the theft too

I worked at a store similar to Home Depot in college and let me tell you, they don't prepare you at all for the kind of questions people have. If they cared at all about investing in the customer experience (which they don't) they'd hire some retired handymen or something. I seriously did everything I could to limit my voyages from the checkout counter to the employee area because there was a 90% chance I'd disappoint someone on the way.

Mom cares about her kid's safety but that K was just her taking a step back and wondering if it's worth it when she still can't get 'hear' right

Ah I hadn’t thought about that but that’s a good point

The store in my neighborhood thought it wise to lock up the fancy Italian coffee beans. I'm absolutely sure it will not stem theft and will absolutely decrease sales. The bags are big - these are the 1kg bags - so I'm fairly sure most of the theft that is happening is internal anyway.

This is my concern too. Sure, I'm not a huge fan of the idea of myself dying someday, old and decrepit. But there are a ton of people out there about whom it gives me some relief to remember that they too will die. And most of them are the kind of people who whold have first access to anti-aging treatments.
