I really would have loved this 4 years ago. I tried getting into ow 2 on launch but it just felt worse than the original… has the game improved much since launch?

We all know the switch pro comes out /r/tomorrow!
That said… we should bring that subreddit to lemmy.
I feel like ‘fan’ communities like Star Wars and Halo have a better chance at being positive communities with constructive discussion on lemmy because the community here seems like they want to genuinely care about discussion. Those types communities got to a pretty awful state on Reddit because the loudest ‘critic’ would always receive the most upvotes, despite usually having overly nitpicky and poorly thought out criticism.
Constantly get something small but obviously wrong whenever you tell a story about them. Bonus points for messing up the same story in different ways each time, extra bonus points for doing it while they are in the room and sticking to the story.
Lemmy.world because lemmy.ML recommended it when I tried to sign up there. I’m considering moving to a smaller server though since this one seems to be getting overloaded.
Some solid hits on the steam deck that I’ve enjoyed & are on sale: Halo MCC - it’s amazing to finally be able to play halo on a handheld, Divinity OS 2, Civ 6, Apex Legends - F2P so it’s not technically on sale, but works awesome if you use gyro aim
The wii is retro now, we’re getting old
I can’t believe how fast this app got put together!
Is there a good self hosting guide somewhere to reference?
You could always subscribe to multiple! We’re used to having one mega community on Reddit, but the beauty of the fediverse is it’s diversity. You may find that different versions of similar communities have different styles for posts or content quality!
This app is significantly better than the Reddit app. I’m sure with time it could become as good as Apollo was (RIP, thanks Christian).
Thanks for the tips!! I’ll definitely Pick up one of those thermos.
