The mod options are not available from the preview. You have to open the post or comment first, and then the three dot menu. I had the same issue and had to ask an admin.
Yeah, I have three different lemmy accounts and the same exact post has one comment visible on one instance and another comment only visible on a different one. And they are already linked instances, so I’m not sure what is happening
Thanks for linking the original. My friend put a reel of funny clips and that was on it, and I thought that was on par for the sub-lemmy

A polished version of a guide would be nice to circulate. It would be ideal to pre-find the lemmy instances, so new users don’t get confused by the initial contact each instance must make (that was confusing at first). The best I could do would be listing out the steps and taking some of the guesswork out:
- visit https://lemmy.world/signup and create an account
- log in and click Communities at the top
- select All -copy and paste [lemmy link here]
- click Subscribe
Maybe have a an (Optional) section that includes things like choosing different home instances, which includes things like the ability to create communities or other limitations.
Please remember to note the artist/source or write “unknown source” in the text box. I could only find it listed at Peakpx.

Right but like I mentioned, my profile lists that I am a moderator for the two communities I added. I also have the Reports list for posts or comments that get reported on those communities, but the actual mod options are not there.
I have only used the mod tools through mobile browsers. I found out that you need to click a post or comment first, then click the three dot menu for the mod options (pin, ban, make user a mod, etc), you cannot access this from the feed preview of the post (that three dot menu does not have mod options).
I’m not sure about why you cannot see your own posts. I usually check them by clicking my profile to make sure they are listed, and then go to the community that I posted to see if it’s actually visible.
