Man, webapps have come so far. I’m using wefwef.app as a PWA and the experience is so great.
I read somewhere that Putin threatened the families of Wagner officers and not Prigozhin’s himself. More plausible IMO because the chain is as weak as its weakest links. Putin might have found just enough leverage.
Thanks for sharing that article. Most open-source projects start not with a plan to monetise but because an engineer wanted to solve a problem by themselves.
Also, when i read zloirock’s post about what it takes to maintain ‘core-js’, i couldn’t understand why he would not just walk away or at least take on a lesser role. It isn’t good for any project if it depends on one person. Especially for something that is such a core part of the js ecosystem (pun intended). I’m sure he’d get lots of volunteers if not the money directly.

Well said. Such huge culture shifts are hard because of the pain involved in the transition. On the Other side we have employees being paid fairly and predictably and customers not being punished for their generosity. But the in-between will be employees being paid less but not earning via tips which just keeps the status quo.
And that’s how it is in most of the world. It’s possible. 😛

I just discovered wefwef and I just want to say thank you. It’s amazing. And it’s incredible how you’re single-handedly improving it so quickly as well. My muscle memory from years of using Apollo isn’t going to go to waste after all!
How would you prefer accept bug reports and suggestions? There are some minor issues that I’ve noticed. For example, when replying to a large comment/post (like this one by you) the space for typing gets congested and if I try to scroll up my own comment, the whole dialog attempts to close. My workaround is to drag the cursor instead.
