Part of my ADHD would cause high levels of frustration and occasionally get towards a panic attack? There are things like slowing your breathing, removing yourself from where the frustration is for 10 minutes, and reapproaching, etc.

It's one of those things that is hard to give blanket things that work for everyone. You have to figure out what works for you, and a Therapist is qualified to help you with that discovery.

I take Concerta, which is is only one that seemed to help me with the day to day. My therapist also gave me mental exercises and things to help me “process” stuff in ways that help.

I also have a fidget cube that can help if I find myself drifting a bit.

I made it to 35 years old before I realized this ain’t normal. Saw a therapist and got a referral to investigate ADHD, and now my entire childhood education makes sense why I failed everything.

I cannot stress how much treatment has improved my life. Consider getting evaluated, you may have tons of other signs without even knowing. Things like picking up hobbies and rapidly moving to new hobbies, fidgeting even without noticing, struggling to remember someone’s name after just meeting, so many things.

We have learned a lot more about ADHD the last 20 years and have many different ways to treat it, even without medication.

Along with Lower Decks as well. The crossover to Strange New Worlds was great.

I’m a fan of 1Password. Makes it easy to keep all my secrets in one place, behind a yubikey.

Unfortunately no, it’s not in there either. I couldn’t even find people talking about it on the forums. It’s honestly a bit odd.

The XPS13 is a super popular Linux box.

I gave it a go today but not all hardware on my laptop would work. It doesn’t work in Fedora either without RPM Fusion though.

I couldn’t find any way to get IPU6 firmware for webcam to work nor any opensuse stuff for it. Kind of surprising they don’t support it since most every laptop is starting to ship with em.

Ubuntu and Fedora both are pretty painless to get it to work.

The same is not true of Reddit.

If I subscribe to /r/music, I see all post.

If I as a user subscribe to /c/music on Lemmy.world, I get only posts from lemmy.world.

These two are completely different, and that’s why it is going to struggle.

If we can’t simplify this problem, the platform will struggle to gain serious ground.

I think this is kind of a larger problem with the fediverse, and ultimately why it won’t displace Reddit.

If I subscribe to a community called music, as a user I expect to see all posts from the fediverse. Instead what we get is posts from a specific instance. Duplicate isolated communities is not user friendly.

Fediverse atm just feels like a complicated reinvention of forums.

I really do love my steam deck, but more importantly for me, I am excited to see all the effects of gaming becoming more viable in Linux.

I reaaaaally dislike windows at this point.

I was wondering why I couldn’t load a few posts today.

That’s a special kind of way of screwing up your business. I deleted my account when Musk came in, and only used it to keep an eye on some support / companies that might post something.

Now I can’t even read stuff? I just won’t go anymore, and I hope this finalizes twitters march towards death.
