Either they are suspending operations until they are out of the press spotlight, until they find a new CEO to take over, or until everyone in the company starts a new company doing the same thing under a different company name.

Do I feel bad for those who worked there? Maybe, most of them chose to work at that company and continued to let the CEO continue on, but everyone has to make money somehow.

Not using my real name on any social media profiles except LinkedIn (so potential employers don't think I'm weird), posting at random times of the day, commenting on something not related to the country where I live, using email alias (and multiple ones), never posting a picture of my real face.

When someone messaged me with a number of personal details about me. I realized that I'd posted too much personally about me and used the same username everywhere.

If I have time zones correct, that would be: 11am EDT, 4pm BST, 5pm CEST, 8:30pm IST, Midnight JST (going into July 5th), 1am AEST (July 5th).

If you want to be updated on progress while the site is down, then you can see OP's Mastodon account at https://mstdn.io/@Rynach

If I'm incorrect with any of the time zones, please leave a correction as a comment.

As of today (29 June 2023), Port forwarding is not offered for new customers as part of the Pro plan. Further, existing IVPN Pro customers cannot reserve new ports. Existing reservations will stay in place, and can be disabled by manual action.

We are disabling all reserved ports and completely remove this feature from our service on 30 September 2023.

Almost any registar is good, except GoDaddy or Newfold Digital / Endurance International Group or Network Solutions.

I would suggest looking at TLD List for the major registar's and their prices.

Regarding good website hosting, you have to find the one best for you (and your needs). You can go with what a registar offers, but some may offer other things you need.

Google may still be able to figure out it's you because of your cookies and anything else that is unique to you.

Ultimately, there isn't a perfect way to limit profiling, something like Invidious or Piped may help. Both have a number of instances, so you can choose one or cycle through them.

This is a reminder to read past the headlines and do research into what actually happened. Snopes has the full story.

I would encourage you to find one that fits your needs at DNSCrypt, or Privacy Guides, or Privacy Raccoon. Which will provide some basic information about a DNS resolver, then you can do more research as you see fit.

As a heads-up, some will block ads for you and some won't.

FediDB will be shutting down in July (2023) according to its creator. The list of username's that pledged can be found on fedipact.online

I believe a lot more instances will block Meta once more details come out (I know the instance I'm on is talking).

As of June 16, 2023, there are now 40 million Canadians!

Would be even better if the meeting was video off, or if it wasn't a meeting (and instead could send off your update).

With so many books being published every day, how do you find a book you want to read?

I usually go through recommendations on Goodreads, and I keep track of what books my favourite authors are publishing.
