It will be interesting to see which one wins out, like how Lemmy won out vs kbin/mbin, since kbin never accepted any outside help and stopped contributing. Not really putting the open in open-source that way, IMO.

Yes, something like that would work. The stock OS would still be on the TV but as long as you don't connect the TV to WiFi it should be fine.

I meant something more neutral like "I think y'all are weird".
That way, the y'all is the problematic part. That was my point.
As for “y’all” or “you all”, I don’t see how it could possibly be interpreted as offensive to any gender.
I think "we don't take kindly to y'all" to a trans person would likely be offensive. Beyond that though, you're probably okay.

It's a shame, I wanted to like KBin because it's PHP and I specialize in PHP (also JS and Java), but the maintainer just made sure that it wasn't sustainable.
