I prefer something like human scale transportation
Do you share the opinion that if everyone does better vs some of us being “perfect” we can have more meaningful change?
My hope is this isn’t framed as a local/state problem in the future.
It’s disheartening that we as Americans don’t stand together nationally on this subject. Those of us (all persons) facing housing related issues do not all come from CA. CA is a destination for many

Seriously though,
I think the BIFL movement overvalues brands.
Looking for quality and intentionally buying something you like that will be with you for years is more important to me.
Buy less, repair it, use it longer.

I guess I just choose based on my conscience. I’ve made a lot of life changes in the past that either took away “pleasures” or added a bit more effort to my daily life in order to live a more harmonious life.
Choosing an electric stove cost me neither quality of life or significant cost to the bank. We are moving towards a totally petroleum product free home within 10 years (ya plastic exists)

I have to ride up mountain roads often with out options to pull over and give way as much as needed.
I pull over as often as I can (who doesn’t like a break) but some drivers have zero chill.
It’s illegal to pass over a double yellow for a good reason.
