I think the general criticism that new models fail to break ground like they used to, but have barely slowed down their release schedule or extended their support, is also a valid one.

But the author barely touches on that before getting distracted by "phones are too big," which they then come back to a further three times in unrelated paragraphs.

Pub buildings built on the cheap or converted (i.e. single storey, flat roof) are almost always a reliable predictor for terrible beer, aggressive clientele, and a regular light dusting of snow on the bathroom sinks.

I think the meme started with the satirical Viz magazine.

That's all well and good, but I maintain my position both with regard to the previous commenter and – though I hadn't meant to address it at the time – also to Esperanto. If uptake of the language is sufficient, it will devolve into dialects and further, in spite of the intentions of its inventors.

I actually really like how they subverted that song for the film.

they come into existance from other languages that get distorted beyond recognition by the people who misuse them

"Misuse" is an inappropriate word to employ here. The correct way to speak a language is the way that others speak the language, so that you are mutually intelligible. Changes to how language is used aren't a deviation from the "correct way" for exactly the reasons you've pointed out: language is not prescribed.

I suspect it's dual-band acceleration (sometimes called "speed boost") - you're using both the 2.4GHz and the 5GHz bands. WiFi 6 and 7 will probably show a 6 and 7 respectively, and voice over WiFi is shown separately as you say.

Try finding it in your settings, turning it off, and seeing if the + disappears?

The post has been removed by mods - it still exists and you can link to it, but it's delisted and won't appear on Reddit through browsing/exploring or search.

This ancient Dwemer freehold straddles the border of the Grazelands and the Ashlands, and served historically as an important neutral ground for diplomatic talks. Its remaining inhabitants are not so eager for polite conversation.

CONFESSION TIME: we have an ulterior motive with this new series. It's not very evil, though. We love showing off what we've made, the attention we pay to detail, and our determination to make Skywind really goddamn good, BUT...

WE NEED 3D CLOTHING ARTISTS. It's a major bottleneck for us at the moment, and has been for some time. If you've got experience in modelling 3D clothing and soft materials, or if you know someone else who fits the bill, we'd be really keen to hear from them. Tell everyone you know 💚

On Feb 3rd, we’ll be part of the Community Creation Con supported by Nexus Mods, Bethesda Game Studios, GOG.com, and more, to benefit Make-a-Wish.

We’ll be giving a whistlestop tour of Skywind, what it is (and isn’t), and answering our most frequently-asked questions, live on Twitch.

Join us on February 3rd at 12:30pm! Donate if you can. Watch out for the full schedule on https://twitter.com/C3Modders

And a teaser for 2024: we were also busy last year working on a mini video series to showcase specific Skywind items, from the very first concepts and ideas right through to the final in-game asset. More on that very soon!

You can help! If you know a 3D artist who might want to help with future models for Skywind - especially clothing artists - please send them our way. We’d love to hear from them: https://discord.gg/skywind

One of the last remaining interiors in the Hlaalu Canton of Vivec City, the Bunkhouse! With NPCs having daily routines in Skywind, they all need places to sleep, thus the need arises for new interiors, such as inn rooms, private quarters, and bunkhouses. Located in the docks and connected to the waistworks, the bunkhouse grants its inhabitants easy access to all of Hlaalu Canton!

Should find yourself in a pesky succession feud during your Skywind adventures, have no fear: you’ll be battling your challenger in a beautifully designed Arena fit for a Councilman! During your heroic fight, take inspiration from the cozy canopied seating areas, atmospheric tapestries, and of course, the motivational bloodstains.

A sliding scale of shields: Imperial Dragonscale shield set concepts, by Vitaly Muzyka.

This set of shields might not protect you from bad puns, but the formidable and rare set includes a size for every player, from a buckler for parrying to a tower shield to make you a moving fortress.

See more details on Vitaly’s ArtStation: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/xDN9rr

Description: conceptual drawings of three intricately-worked shields, with front and back views and a sketched three-quarter view of each. Each are dragonscale with metal inlay. The buckler, shield, and tower shield all bear a mean spike on the boss. The handles are wrapped with red cloth.

These bas reliefs, by the spookily talented Fury_on, will be used to decorate Dunmer strongholds. The ancient Chimer were different from the Dunmer we know in 3E427, and we've tried to give these bas reliefs an esoteric and ancient vibe, yet still reminiscent of contemporary Temple art styles.

One bas relief shows an ancestor spirit rising from the grave and blessing supplicants who seek to learn from their predecessors.

The other bas relief gives an insight into the ancient Chimer, showing a dual perspective of a first-Era Nede warrior: one aspect of it conveys the Nedes as a grave danger, a demonic creature that burns villages and strongholds, while the other aspect is that of a fallen enemy, conveying that this monster can still be slain by brave Chimer.

These bas reliefs were drawn in 2D, but we plan to translate them to 3D for enhanced visuals.

Our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and all those whose lives were brightened by her presence. May her roads lead to warm sands.

Description: Artwork by MacedonianMuse of a Dunmer woman studying a book in Dunmeris at a desk. A plait runs across her shoulder and her face bears tattoos. A moon-and-star stele sits on a bookshelf laden with books, and through an open window, emperor parasol mushrooms bloom.

This rare armor set guarantees you’ll only face lunatics in battle, since no one in their right mind would fight someone decked out in the skin of an actual dragon.

Description: Conceptual drawings of Dragonscale armor, showing front and back views and insets of pauldrons, bracers, greaves, and boots. The green-brown armor bears large scales joined to leather, with bone detailing. The style is reminiscent of Roman or early Medieval armor, with pteruges protecting the groin and leather straps holding the vambraces, boots, and belt in place.
