You're looking at it through a lense of compassion. Go back and read what Trump said again. Do you really think he's doing the same?

The overhead to support one soldier is massive. But if we want to start referring to soldiers as killers, disparage the military, and make people think badly of them, then why spend so much money on it? Or do we just want to entice people to do a job everyone will look down on, blow a bunch of money on something everyone thinks is terrible, and treat those people like shit?

Nothing to see here. Nothing to hide. They certainly have all the evidence that Trump is innocent. They're sure to release it any day now. This only proves what he's been saying all along.

There's a couple ways I see it. Make the negative consequence or positive reward enough that he makes the effort to remember on his own.

You could also talk him through what happens when bin night gets missed. Where does he think the trash will go? How often does trash go out and how quickly do the bins fill up? How long does it take to catch up on a missed night? Maybe don't rescue him when he forgets and make him figure out the answer to those questions.
