Shattered Pixel Dungeon 2.5.4, android version, GrapheneOS, github version

So I manage to get the Talisman of Foresight as a drop from something. I have the Shard of Oblivion in my inventory (no upgrades to it). The description says that "The shard will also prevent you from automatically identifying equipment, but can be used to manually identify items that are ready for it." The Talisman of Foresight that I got has a purple background, meaning that it is unidentified and could be cursed.

I figure that if I equip the Talisman of Foresight, the Shard of Oblivion would prevent it from being identified. If so, I could wear it in its unidentified state in order to get the Shard of Oblivion bonus loot effect. So I equip the Talisman of Foresight. It is not cursed, but it immediately becomes identified. The Shard of Oblivion did not prevent the identification.

Is this intended behavior, or is it unintended?

Thank you for clarifying.

I have uploaded the file at https://mega.nz/folder/mUIlSDQD#9RoCVdyLusYmiPsoCSlsxg.

The sha256sum of the apk is ffb35bf9113bf36faab979f01361cb94f48141e2cb1d75216a79cbbc9ee26d97. I request that [Dev] Snail modify their post with the sha256sum that they get from the apk. Since the sha256sum should be identical, this would prove to readers that I have not modified the apk with malware. Regardless, since the user would not be compiling the apk from source code, users will have to trust that [Dev] Snail has not inserted malware into the apk.

Please let me know if there are any problems with downloading the file.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon- v2.5.2, desktop linux, github version

So today I opened up Shattered Pixel Dungeon and discovered that my pastry had transformed into a pumpkin pie for Halloween. I am not really a fan of real world time influencing games in general, since it hurts immersion for me. I also do not like my items in my inventory transforming on their own accord, and I do not really like Halloween either. Is there a way that I can either disable the holiday events? Alternatively, is there a way I can spoof the date/time so that the real world never affects my gameplay?

Thank you.

So if I play the game 11 times, it now shows a counter. Good to know.

Shattered Pixel dungeon- v2.5.2

Does this talent apply just to weapon and armor, or does it also apply to artifacts and rings? Does a +1 ring count as a tier 2 equipment? Does a +0 ring count as a tier 1 equipment?

Thank you for clarifying.

No, the player cannot scroll down any further.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon- v2.5.2, desktop linux version from github

On the android version from github, there is a counter at the bottom of the rankings, showing how many games you have beaten out of the number of games you have played.

On my desktop version (which does not have the same game history), I do not see any such counter. See the attached picture. Is this some sort of bug? Or is it meant to not have such a counter on desktop?

Thank you for your help.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon- v2.5.2, desktop linux version from github

I am playing v2.5.2 on desktop instead of v2.5.3. This is mainly because I do not like the removal of the stone of disarming (and also because I do not like bombs, which seem too high-tech for medieval fantasy IMO). So it is possible that this issue was fixed on the desktop version of 2.5.3, if it is an issue. However, since I am on v2.5.2, I have not checked whether or not the behavior is the same on v2.5.3.

The journal cuts off floor 1 at the bottom of the screen. See the attached picture. Is this intended or unintended?

Thank you for your help.

Thank you. I will look into it at some point. I just usually assume that if a program really wants to spy on me, it will be programmed to turn off the spying if it detects that something like wireshark is on. But I guess that would not apply to our case here.

I am a daily tor user (and an Edward Snowden supporter- read his book, Permanent Record, if you have not already), so I have an interest in this sort of thing. If check for news and check for updates are turned off, will Shattered Pixel Dungeon still ping the internet and thus reveal my ip address? Or will it not communicate with the internet if both of these are clicked off?

I can of course play with the internet off or within Whonix-Workstation, but both are somewhat inconvenient.

Thank you for your help.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon- v2.5.2

So I was playing a game with wand of transfusion a while ago, but I forgot to ask questions about it here.

In the prison area, the guards and the thieves are undead monsters now, so they take damage from the wand of transfusion. However, the necromancers also take damage from the wand of transfusion. The description for them says that they are apprentice mages from the surface who came to practice their craft. Wouldn't that make them non-undead enemies, despite specializing in summoning undead creatures?

Also, Tengu appears to be charmed from the wand of transfusion instead of taking damage. Is Tengu not an undead creature, despite the guards and thieves being undead?

Also, the machines like dm-100 are susceptible to being charmed. Obviously they are non-undead creatures. However, they are also non-biological creatures. So should they be vulnerable to being charmed?

Thank you for your help.

Thank you.

The code is here https://github.com/00-Evan/shattered-pixel-dungeon. How do I modify the code to add the accuracy/evasion stats to the UI, and then how do I compile the code into my own version?

Shattered Pixel Dungeon v2.5.2

When I level up, the screen says +Accuracy, +Evasion, +5 HP! +1 Talent Point!

I can see the hp and the talent points at any time. But I do not see where I can see my character's accuracy and evasion statistics. Where can I see them? Also, do the base accuracy and evasion stats differ depending on which class you start out as?

Thank you for your help.

Is there any other way to deal with this room besides killing the fish?

I am playing on a file where they appear on floor 3. I am not strong enough and do not have enough projectile / wands to kill them. Is there any other way to bypass them (besides using ethereal chains or teleporting them away, both options which are not available to me at the moment) without fighting them?

Thank you for your help.

Shattered Pixel Dungeon v2.5.0.

https://github.com/00-Evan/shattered-pixel-dungeon/releases/download/v2.5.0/ShatteredPD-v2.5.0-Linux.zip

Desktop platform- Linux Mint 22

The Shard of Oblivion does not seem to be able to be dropped or thrown. It can use its identify function, but it stays in my inventory no matter what. Is this intended behavior or unintended?

I do not know how to send the save file to /u/00_[email protected] or anyone else to try and reproduce the issue. In fact, I do not know where the save data is stored.

Thank you for your help.

There is a room with a sentry and a chest. I think I am supposed to clear the room by using a potion of haste to outrun the sentry.

The sentry seems immune to absolutely everything. But I want to kill the sentry. How do I kill the sentry?

Thank you for your help.

There are two rooms and only one key. One key leads to 3-4 things for the player. The other leads to a single item contained in a chest?

The room with 3-4 things always seems like a pretty good deal, as opposed to choosing a chest. After all, how do I know that what is in the chest is worth as much or more than those 3-4 things?

Under what circumstances is it better to choose the mystery chest over the 3-4 rewards? Why would anyone choose the chest instead?
