If bakers can choose their customers based on sexual orientation doctors should be able to choose their patients based on political affiliation. At least one of these is a choice.

I still remember how she, with no chance of winning herself, fucked over Bernie to give the primary nomination to Biden. I'm good. She's totally on board with corporate democrat fuckery whether or not she claims to be one. Progressives aren't welcome in the modern right wing-lite party.

We need to get money out of politics before the wealthy kill us all.

I got covid right as 1.0 dropped and playing on my deck was about as much as I could muster entertainment-wise. I ticked into the 100 hour range last night and my only regret is not learning about snap to grid and the world grid sooner.

Analyze price increases from start to stop of using the tool. If above X, congrats you're on the hook for making your victim whole plus damages.

They'll bitch that it's going to financially devastate the landlords but they gave zero fucks about the families they have greedy been looting and the devastation they have already experienced.

Let's see some landlords on the street for a change.

Trash judge. More monopoly on violence bullshit while taking zero responsibility for senseless violence.

Weird every teacher I know makes dog shit money and the school district still expects them to cover classroom supply shortages out of their own pocket.

Also rising waters lifts all boats. Arguing that some other group shouldn't see life improvements just means someone worse than you is making the same dumb argument against you while the wealthy are happy to pit you against each other and keep your money.

Weird isn't this exactly how Trump managed his presidency? Acting positions instead of clearing the approval gates. I guess the difference here as we can see is in the Republican's questions, Hobbs picks weren't ideologically poisoned enough to clear their bar, whereas Trump couldn't get his extremists into positions he wanted because of their poisonous ideology...

If Republicans didn't have double standards, they would have none at all.

I wonder if conservatives feel personally responsible for persecuting lgbtq folks or their role as staunch defenders of legalized pedophilia in the form of child marraige. Maybe the systemic and pervasive racism they've baked into our country and legal system? Oh that's a feature not a bug?

This is such an amazing premise that seems to have absolutely zero grounding in reality. They should have tested the concept of "ignorance is bliss", because there is a whole of that going around and I could see it as a legitimate reason why they may in a mental health capacity be healthier.

When you are aware of the realities of the world they can take a psychological toll. It does make for a weird combination when you look at their overall "everyone is out to get you so you should hate everyone not like you" mentality, but at least they aren't worried about their countrymen pulling a civil war or any semblance of the realty of global warming or major health crisis like say a pandemic.

The idea that conservatives feel any capacity of responsibility for their political actions is just laughable. They would sooner shift blame than consider their ideology has any cracks. Faith doesn't allow them to consider they might be wrong and any information to the contrary is just fake news.

Now hold on they need to go vote for a guy that used the pandemic to try to kill his political rivals voters and then lied about losing the election to spark a coupt attempt to attempt to overthrow the duely elected government. They feel so responsible for it they are doing everything to play it down and pretend it didnt happen. But also they are the most patriotic people and don't forget that.

Yeah man, referencing the dictionary and how a word is used vs the nonsense framing you've chosen. Some crazy shit.

May 2023 - "Target removes some Pride Month products after threats against employees" https://www.npr.org/2023/05/24/1177963864/target-pride-month-lgbtq-products-threats

Terrorism is an appropriate word here. Threats of violence to achieve political goals. They threatened employees with violence because the store chose to offer those items. I'm not really sure how much more clear cut it can get. Terrorism isn't just killing people.

terrorism /tĕr′ə-rĭz″əm/ noun

  • The use of violence or the threat of violence, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political goals.
  • The act of terrorizing, or state of being terrorized; a mode of government by terror or intimidation.
  • The practice of coercing governments to accede to political demands by committing violence on civilian targets; any similar use of violence to achieve goals.
  • The deliberate commission of an act of violence to create an emotional response through the suffering of the victims in the furtherance of a political or social agenda.
  • Violence against civilians to achieve military or political objectives.
  • A psychological strategy of war for gaining political or religious ends by deliberately creating a climate of fear among the population of a state.
  • The calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear.
