This is such an amazing premise that seems to have absolutely zero grounding in reality. They should have tested the concept of "ignorance is bliss", because there is a whole of that going around and I could see it as a legitimate reason why they may in a mental health capacity be healthier.

When you are aware of the realities of the world they can take a psychological toll. Terrorism is an appropriate word here. Threats of violence to achieve political goals. They threatened employees with violence because the store chose to offer those items. I'm not really sure how much more clear cut it can get. Terrorism isn't just killing people.

Overall, I can only guess how much spit you unknowingly consume in a year. Not nearly as much as you deserve, I imagine.
