The Super Heavy hover looked way more stable than I was expecting. Amazing progress.

:(

Today felt like the one.

Thanks for this! I've spent several dozen hours trying to get SteamVR working well on Linux, and finally gave up.

Is the Monado experience close enough to Windows to be usable? Are you aware of any major tradeoffs?

At this point I accept that Valve probably can't compete with the billions poured into the Meta Quest 3, but I'm glad they understand there's an enthusiastic audience for whatever they do next.

The lack of vacuum relight is really interesting - I thought that was the biggest barrier to a "real" orbital flight with a payload that can start offsetting development costs.

But yes, everything else about this flight plan is exciting!

I assumed optics would force them to replace the part, even if there wasn't an engineering reason to do so. Glad I was wrong!

A small RCS leak feels like something that can be compensated for in software.

From the Ars Technica article on the subject:

The space agency did not describe what options are on the table, but sources said they range from flying the spacecraft "as is" with a thorough understanding of the leak and confidence it won't become more significant in flight, to removing the capsule from its Atlas V rocket and taking it back to a hangar for repairs.

Theoretically, the former option could permit a launch attempt as soon as next week. The latter alternative could delay the launch until at least late summer.

Late summer! Ouch. Sounds like that's based on ISS parking spot availability.

Darn. I hope it's a quick fix and we don't have to deal with weeks of doomerism.

Correct, here's a guide to enabling Wayland.

I've never had OP's problem, but another avenue I'd consider is to set display settings in the nvidia-settings app, which can be opened with a GUI from the terminal. These settings are separate from those in the normal settings menu, in ways I don't totally understand.

Darn. You may already be aware of it, but ProtonDB is an excellent resource. People share their experiences with specific games, and quite often someone will have found a workaround for problems.

(Sorry for the delayed response, my app didn't alert me)

I remember feeling stunned about how limited the HLS test was going to be. So much effort and money to NOT test critical systems? I hope they keep adding elements.
