This is perfectly stated. Lemmy, which I dearly love, is not ready to replace Reddit for the vast majority of users. Which is fine. I won't really miss the vast majority of Reddit users.

I dunno if "organic" is enough, but I don't think the fediverse could handle the entire Reddit use base today. I'm also not certain it will ever be as normy-friendly as Reddit has been. For better or worse.

Well, he would not be burdened with Putin's legacy in Ukraine and could easily walk away from it as a bad investment. He's certainly not a better man, but Putin is not able to end this war without losing power (and his life). Prigizhin can.

I served in the 80's and let me heartily agree. We "wind dummies" derided "Jar-Heads" and "Wing Nuts", but the thought of actually trying to kill them is just ludicrous. Not even the ones from the wrong side of the political aisle. It's hard to imagine what kind of sick environment the Muscovites have in place that could give rise to this kind of in-fighting. It's hard to understand how they've managed to last this long with this level of rot.

I wonder if vehicles will arrive in a later DLC, kinda like how they appeared in NMS. I suspect a modded solution will be a little hard to pull off convincingly.

That's a little harsh. And overly broad. It's hard, essential, and generally unappreciated work. They are community volunteers and hold communities together. Some are less pleasant that others, but we need mods, and I'm glad some are willing to step up and do the work the rest of us won't.
I don't think we really even want a tsunami of new users. The infrastructure isn't ready and most of them won't won't even understand what federation means. A slow trickle while we work out the kinks is fine. It's not like it's a race or anything.
Because, then, they'd all come here.
