i mean, probably more people experience anxiety about an interview than don't. having created a mechanism which supports this person in conceptualizing herself and her experience more positively to manage that anxiety is a good sign, to me.
and you will suffer with them, most likely.
this is not the way to class solidarity.
my daughter said to me one day - you have to have more empathy for those who are oppressed than hatred for oppressors.
right now, i see a lot of people lumping those who are most vulnerable together with incoming leadership. indifference to those who are most vulnerable doesn't help any of us.
some of the people who will suffer most are also people who are least likely to learn. and i still don't want to see them homeless or starving.
i did not vote for Trump.
it bothers me that so many commenters are excited about the idea of people suffering.
earplugs have been a game changer for me. i haven't been shopping without them for the last six months.
"very few people" references having an idealized life. not having much to do or people to see is only one way in which people's lives may fall short of the ideal.
it's more like, a lot of psychotherapy is individualistic and focused on getting people functional again, so they can do what is important and meaningful to them.
that might be in alignment with capitalism or social norms, or it might not be.
