Enrico Colantoni for him as Mathesar in Galaxy Quest, alone.

I would agree with JK Simmons and Tilda Swinton, but I'm personally not sure about the rest of your list, although they are really good actors.

In no particular order, I'd probably say Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Willem Dafoe (he's actually my #1), Simon Pegg, Jon Bernthal... That's all I got after thinking for like ten minutes.

Situationally, I'd say Kenneth Branagh elevates Wild Wild West, which already has a stellar cast, but he just chews up each scene with his voice and everything he says; and possibly even Chamber of Secrets. However I'm not much of a fan of his Poirot.

I saw a couple trailers. It looks like a crazy version of Moon, but I honestly have no idea what to expect. I want to see it.

I swore I'd post this everytime Charlie Kirk gets mentioned, so here I am:

Unfortunately I don't have one.

But I just did a show this weekend so I have nerd shit on the brain and was curious what kind of collectibles and stuff she had and from what. Pure coincidence that she has one of our posters framed on her wall by her gaming setup.

There's a sliding scale of "naked" to "not even an ankle" while at the conventions.

I've seen plenty of women that I would not be surprised if they actually were content creators. It's kind of surprising just who can be a nerd and for what.

Holy. Shit.

So I travel around the country going to different conventions, selling art, and the Anor Londo poster in the background is one of the ones I sell!

I wonder if she got it at a con or online.

I honestly think it's some weird plot to take humanity back to a puritanical society.

Think about it.

All major websites are censoring language and content that could even remotely be construed as adult-friendly or "harmful"; the fact so many US states are outright banning porn sites (I know it's like a hydra, but the point still stands); the entire world is sliding right back into fascism; I even feel like Hollywood is stepping away from things like violence and vulgarity.

It's all a fucking sham and I fucking hate it. Let us swear; let us jack off to the weird shit we want to jack off too; just let people be people.

Why does there have to be a small but extremely powerful subset of people who can run the entire world and dictate what the rest of us can and can't do?

I mean, no one's talking about those hands either...

Favorite Level? (self.halo)

I was just wondering everyone's favorite level(s) were/are. You can explain why you like it, or you can just name drop the level you like most.

Mine are probably:

  1. Assault on The Control Room, I love the big epic set pieces of the level, and it has probably the best/most "examples" of what Halo is as a game than any other in CE. You have big weapons, vehicles, large open battles, and awesome music.

  2. Delta Halo from Halo 2. I love the lush jungle setting and going through the underwater elevator is always fun. Plus I love just beating the hell out of Truth.

  3. Halo, from Halo 3. Like Assault on The Control Room, this level has it all

Nat20 Saber "Custom" (self.lightsabers)

I have a cool job that lets me travel around to different conventions, and I've been seeing these Nat20 Sabers folks at pretty much all of them. I finally decided to check them out, and it's actually pretty sweet!

At their booth, they have a "forge" set up with different pieces so you can make your own custom hilt, then they put the electronics and all inside. The blade is extremely durable and can take a beating. They had a sign reading "free lightsaber battles" so people could mess around and try them out, and they encouraged them to hit them pretty hard.

It has (I think) 9 different sound fonts, motion controls, color change, accelerometer so it reacts when you move it even just a bit which is actually very nice, clashing effects, blaster deflecting effects, a drag effect for some theatrical moments (like you're dragging it along the wall or floor), and saber locking effects.

Overall it honestly just feels really nice, and it's decently lightweight as well so you can really swing it.

So I've been playing through all the Arkham games lately, and I had an interesting thought about the whole Arkhamverse as a storyline.

I think the entire game series is based (loosely) on The Killing Joke story, with other major events, references, and storylines lifted from other Batman comics. I just think TKJ was used as a basis for the games' world.

We see Joker's beginning with his flashback at the end of Arkham Origins, which is almost identical to his TKJ origin, as well as him crippling Barbara in that flashback during Arkham Knight (right down to the clothes he's wearing). The overall dark tone of the games lend to this theory, as well as Joker being shown just how sadistic he can be.

What do you think?

If it's at all possible. I just find it kind of annoying to have to scroll through super long posts just to get to the comments. Review threads for newly released games in some of the gaming communities are what prompted this idea lol.

Edit: what the hell is going on with that account that keeps spamming nonsense?

So I like to use Xbox controllers (doesn't matter if it's first- or third-party) because I like the layout, it's just comfortable to me. However I've noticed that on all my controllers in the past few years, the left thumb stick will start to "give out" over the course of a couple months. For instance I'll be pushing it forward all the way, but it won't register for some reason and my character will only move a little bit. Sometimes wiggling it a bit will fix it, sometimes it doesn't. And it's not like I'm squeezing the hell out of the controller or mashing the stick constantly; in fact it's made me try to be more delicate with my controllers, even though I'm just playing the games normally.

Is it just how controllers are, or am I just getting the shit end of the stick?

Like, I travel around for work and I've met plenty of people from all backgrounds.

Why is there a demographic of people who don't seemingly bathe regularly, or at the very least wear something to cover up their BO? I could understand if it's an allergy, or even religious reasons (though the people I've met that smell bad are usually you're average American young adult man) but recently (like in the past week, recently) I've met a concerning number of people who don't seem to wear any kind of deodorant or possibly don't even bathe regularly; it's starting to become an issue for me, as I don't even want to interact with them when I can smell them walking up from 3+ feet away yet I need to for work.

Does anyone have any possible insight?
