(sorry for not contributing, I'll be lurking my next upgrade from your post) Your computer is a direct upgrade of mine haha:

  • B350M bazooka
  • ryzen 3 1200
  • Radeon RX 560
  • 8Gb 2666hz

(This can play The Finals at 50fps average with no upscaling)

Currently playing through the game so that was unexpected. Spoilerfree The good:

  • (Really good) Faster loading times
  • More gfx options
  • Free outfits from founder edition
  • More missions apparently (still going through the base game so idk)

The bad:

  • Lip sync is still broken in engine cinematic

The ugly:

  • You now have to sign EULA
  • Menu ad for Alan Wake 2 and DLCs

I get it, it's 2025 but 2 days ago I was praising the game to a friend about how player friendly the game was and how it felt like a game and not an app.

For Ori 1, for Ori 2 you have to fiddle with the settings a bit more to get 25fps average but it's doable👍

No, case in point, I tried on my laptop. The switch has a gpu, this guy hasn't.

You seem to lack empathy. NeoNachtWaetcher's answer is what I would look into.

I wouldn't focus on improving your social game, you seem good here.

Maybe try to be interested in other people's lives. When people infodump on you, try to catch a similar point of interest and divert the conversation toward that.

Also, nothing wrong with being quiet, I love a quiet friend.

I've recently tried to expand my social circle and something I've noticed is relationship seem to be alot about showing up and being there regularly, not overstaying your welcomes and trusting your gut.

About girls and romantic relationships, when the other party wants it too, it's very very easy and smooth. Remember, it's about two people, if you feel like it's hard to maintain convo or to keep her interested then look elsewhere maybe.

Kindly, from a 23-year-old.

My modded 3ds + modded Wii U system I have a very large library of games that I can run on both systems + I got a lot of controllers for local-couch sessions.

I heard about the whole thing being kind of uplifting. Something about a hopefull view of society.

Which season should one with no prior knowledge of star trek start from?

Not limited to SO, can be friends, family, etc...

If at all... I love it, overall

  • it's been really hard to get a win (in a good way)
  • the healing is sparse
  • the map has big open areas
  • the weapons hits real hard

Got a couple of good games today. The only thing is that the players aren't spread enough so even though the ambiance is really enjoyable, when you want some action it can be a bit dull.

Oh and snipers are back wohow!

The music's really good also.

Hello gamedevs!

I've been making games as a hobby for some time. For assets, I would usually just rip whatever I found would fit best from the internet and edit it afterwards.

Now this is great (I think)for personal projects and the likes. But when you want to make them public that's not possible so whenever I'm building something for a public (free or paid) I make everything by myself or I use CC0 assets (or CC-BY with attributions in credits).

One thing I wondered is how much can I straight up use a sound effect without problems?

I have multiple scenarios:

Scenario a

I rip 1 to 2 seconds from a music. Apply some effects (reverb and filters for exemple) and add another sound on top of it. Would it be problematic to sell a game with this?

Scenario b

I record/rip a sound from a game, maybe I apply an effect on top of it then dump it into my game. Would it be problematic to sell a game with this?

Scenario c

I record a part of a music (like scen. A) and I merge it with 5 other sounds. I then apply a lot of filters and then, when in game, the sound is played through audio alteration functions using player inputs and game state as parameters. The original sound would not be recognizable. Would it be problematic to sell a game with this?

The grand question here is how much of an art piece has to be destroyed when building on top of it for it to be deemed original or something. But that's not the question of this post.

Thank you for reading this ^^

Hope some of you can answer this or give some guidance.

PS: I really don't mind giving attributions, in fact I really like being able to redirect to skilled artist through my work. I don't want to avoid doing it, I want to know the legal troubles of using samples from found audio.

I'm saying big as in popularity, quality and depth of content. In one way or another, I consider clash royale to be some flavor of the RTS genre. But maybe there'll be something with a little more "prestige" than a mobile p2w game.
