Mastodon is great if your interests are Linux and FOSS.

I'm a FOSS and Linux nerd, and even I think Mastodon has a problem. Something has to change if Mastodon wants to compete. It just feels so lifeless compared to Bluesky.

10/10 best $4k I ever spent. I didn't notice any change in colors. It did make my eyes drier, but I use a sleep mask now (I sleep with my eyes open). That, and a sensitivity to bright light were the only side effects, and they are both back to normal now 2 years later.

I tried my best to like Mastodon, but after a day on bluesky I like it more. Mastodon is fine, but the shitposting is really lacking.

The Seikret auto moving was my least favorite part of the beta. I want to be in control of the game I'm playing.

I had to check my phone for the name.

To quote one of my favorite short form videos, sexual intercourse.

Nat Silver left fivethirtyeight and took his model with him. So the other headline is a lie.

One of the things I miss most from Twitter and Reddit is getting nearly instant pictures of storm damage.

Cause it's the only one that makes me motion sick. :( Why is this one different from all of the other ones?

I blocked a lot of subreddits in the old Reddit app. Eventually the app started unblocking a subreddit every time I tried to block a new one. With all of the different instances of Lemmy I know I'll have a ton of muted users/instances. I just want to be proactive before I hit the limit.
