Like some people already commented here, on reddit this feeling let us delete our already written comments mid through because it would more a hassle to post as to remain silent... It totaly changed here^^

The Reddit topic is kind of hot right now and fueled with anger but nonetheless people are still being polite to each other, as far as I have seen tbh.

Total coincidence to see you talking about darktide here^^ I posted an question there about the update size on the MS Store version and literally got answers about being a fool not using steam. I don't miss that time at all^^

You really got me first^^ Now I want to see the normal site without any adblocks etc. I never used the website, installed the "official app" scrolled 2 min and switched immediately to a 3rd party app.
I understand your worries but in my perception all non corparate instances will just way apart with something like this. There is already an agreement to disfederate with the Meta instances somewhere but i cant find the link again, sorry. I hope the concept will stay as it is.
