Surface streets with a 35mph speed limit may not be too overly hazardous so long as you act like a car and occupy the right tire tread, though trying to ride a major highway with a 55mph limit is asking to get run over. Fortunately, many municipalities allow cyclists to claim the entire lane when needed and expect us to act like an automobile. Still, we really need barricaded lanes for cyclists that also don't have to share too closely with pedestrians. Still, it isn't unusual to find delivery trucks or cops parked in the cyclist lanes. The most hazardous practice IME is to ride the stripe along a 65mph throughput stroad. No thanks.
I've noticed pretty much the same thing. The GOP is looking more and more like the Democratic Party with each passing day, as if they weren't essentially interchangeable as it is. It's not out of the question that George Orwell's 1984 isn't too far off from what we actually do have.
Hey. Nothing in the Constitution would prevent him from running if he felt like it.
Certainly a neat look. I like tile effects like that sometimes.
I guess get Elon Musk to run. :p
While I say that being funny, as Elon is every bit as well hated IME, I have still been hearing a few names thrown about. Whomever they pick, they need to find someone who is no-nonsense and there to get things done, and not give us politics as usual.
...and that is, where? The web site in the open web, or the now closed r/linuxquesions?
I'm here trying to learn how this service operates, and am finding a few bugs that make it more challenging than it probably should be. Some things, like trying to post musings or my own miscilaneous content "to myself" (that is, it would be part of my own page that can be viewed, but not part of a particular community) just gives me a spinning wheel indefinitely. If nothing else, better feedback from the UI would greatly help.
Last check I had, science was just the study of the way creation was designed in Genesis. ...and how would understanding creation obstruct the understanding of our creator? ...though it seems like everything has been politicized the world over, as if we're all just labels.
Although I am a bit annoyed at this whole stink related to the Reddit API, I am also wondering if the website itself will also break on July 1. I'm guessing for now that it will keep working, but I guess if it stops, I'll have to send a dirty letter to them to delete my account.
With all the shenanigans on Reddit still going on, and r/linuxquestions (best I can tell) still being down, I also would love to see them extend to the Fediverse.
...though I am wondering why on my Mint installation, Firefox running causes my sound to crackle. If I try the same site (say, Odysee) in Midori or Chromium, everything is normal, but with Odysee playing, if I so much as open Firefox and let it sit on the landing page, my sound will begin to crackle until I decide to close it, at which time it quits in a few seconds. It also sounds like crap when I try to send Firefox to Odysee. It's the same for if I send it to another site, like YouTube or Pandora, as well as finding videos on r/BreathOfTheWild via Reddit.
I know it has been a bit, but here's what I got. Maybe something will stick out to someone more trained than myself.
