After a while they seem to go away if you clicked on the envelope icon but it is not immediate.

Thats a good idea. Also the upvoting from the app message area wouldnt let me upvote your comment so there is something in the app not 100% with the upvote buttons in some places.

Ok wow didnt know that. This is easier than what I was doing.

Im 100% all in on lemmy and its replaced reddit in its entirety for me and works well using the lemmy app. I also have enough content here to satisfy me so will not be moving unless this stops.

Better (granular) ways to sort content: Eg instead of just top day, active, new etc. Instead : active in last 24h, hot in last 24h, top by 12h and top by 6h or 3h Maybe other options also but unsure. Anything extra would help basically.

Easier way to respond to posts. I find replying to someones reply confusing in the app. Im actually not clear how to do it, or how to easily respond to another persons comment. I struggle with this so easier or clearer way would help.

Ways to create favourite groups eg: sometimes I want to get a pulse on just the news so would help to be able to group some communities just about news and have them display their posts rather than having to go to each one one at a time, or even more helpful would be to be able to add some communities on this group I don’t subscribe. Having multiple of these groups would be idea that can allow me to change between based on what I am looking for. Unclear if this is possible or just a pipe dream.

Some buttons I sometimes cant click on like the upvote button occasionally. Unclear if a bug or the button is just too small to register my finger. Only have a iphone with a smaller screen. Would help of these buttons always worked.

Sorry for posting. Its not a list of demands I promise. This app is just the best there is and seems like right now nothing can stop its meteoric development so just putting in my 2c while the rockets are on full blast. Crazy how much it has improved.

There is a reason some of us chose to support Debian and its model of allowing downstream companies like Ubuntu (Canonical) to give back up to the open source father. And this is it. We dont need to compromise here. We already have a system that works perfectly and provides a choice for what suits you. If you are an enterprise then try Ubuntu instead of RHEL. If you are a home user you dont need enterprise support and can help us log bug reports and create the next version of Trixie. We need more testers and we have fought this long fight and proven we wont give up. What other proof do you need?

Only time you dont use virtualisation or containers would be if real time performance is critical. Eg: a firewall inspecting packets in/out or some other service or appliance where small delays can impact performance. Same kind of reasons why gaming on a vm is never quite as good as a bare metal machine.

Best thing to do is let them stay there. All the tech savvy people who know how to stay safe online moved here so its just a matter of time until something bad happens to them.

And should be pushed to the app store. I avoid the website over the app now. Its just better.

Yeah for sure thats what I mean. Anything the news organisations cant control themselves is a no no for me.

If I message a user who is from another instance, do they actually see the message and can they respond? Not clear from the documentation if this works.
