What if you like your family more than your job? Hustle and bustle of the work/school week (even an enjoyable one) makes it incredibly hard for me to spend time with my family outside of weekends.

I did some Mario Kart and a some of Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum online battles.
But I generally liked single player games as opposed to party games.
The only one that I know that really gets compared to BoTW is Genshin Impact.
Which, it kind of is in terms of exploration. They even added Korok seeds in their 3.0 update.
The big bad enemies are also ancient robots that can be terrifying when you’re low level too.
This game came out the tail end of 2020. It also has a very similar color palette to BotW in some areas. Especially the main “Castle Town” zone.

Can confirm, my son found my old 3DS a few months back and quite likes the 3D effect.
He now regularly plays 3DS.
