Good to know! Thanks! I’ll start using my e-lending app again, ever if that just means I instantly return the book.

I mean authors don’t see money anytime someone rents an ebook do they? Libraries just need to pay for licenses to the publisher annually from what I’ve read on reddit/Lemmy.

I can understand renting ebooks so that your library continues to fund a digital library, but if the book is available in paper form that doesn’t really benefit the author either.

Oooh I’ve done something similar with Ashardalon’s Stride. It’s incredibly satisfying.

I guess I can start.

We double crossed an incredibly powerful wizard in Out of the Abyss. DM did not expect it at all.

Full Spoilers for Out of the Abyss, which was by and large a not super great adventure, just because the whole first half of the plot was a survival sandbox and then the second half was really interesting but didn’t feel super fun to do a bunch of fetch quests.

Tap for spoilerEssentially there is a drow wizard who hates others of his kind.

He wants the players to use his plot warping ritual spell, which you collect the missing components for, to summon the Abyssal Demon Princes all to Menzobarrazen. The plan was to let them rampage and destroy themselves while we then went and fought them after the killed each other.

From what I recall there is a magical mcguffin that we had to stash at the top of a tower. The archmage could track the location of this and knew if we did or did not leave it in this location.

About 5 out of game months prior to this, my Sorcadin had picked up Ritual Caster Wizard in an effort to transcribe a BUNCH of spells from like 3 spell books we’ve picked up over the course of the campaign. This was to get stuff like Leomund’s Tiny Hut, Find Familiar, Phantom Steed, and pretty much every ritual wizard spell that existed back in 2015.

One of these spells included Drawminji’s Instant Summons.

So we left the item in the tower, I cast Drawminji’s instant summons and set it as the target (because I also spent downtime finding the expensive 259g Sapphire needed as the component for the spell), and we faffed off to an abandoned myconoid grove to complete the ritual and before completed, summon the ritual item there.

We saved countless drow lives and they will literally never know.

Does Firefox on iOS have extensions? I have to use Orion by Kagi to get extensions on iOS.

Sounds like an inside joke to me.

Not my Mittens, cause I keep that fucker inside!

Fair enough. I seem to recall ME3 multiplayer seeing a fair amount of patches specifically to multiplayer to nerf and buff skills and classes.

I thought that would qualify it with the DLC and time limited events like double XP and such that happened regularly.

Compared to games like Marvel Rivals, Overwatch, or literally any random gacha game you can find that would make it seem significantly less like a live service game.

But I do remember new maps, characters, and modes getting released for ME3 multiplayer at least haha. Support was not as long lasting or as frequent as you might expect for the aforementioned games.

I mean Mass Effect 3 had the amazing “live service” of online multiplayer that was an absolute blast.

So it’s nothing new.

I believe DA:I had something similar but it wasn’t something I ever did.

Andromeda has multiplayer too, and it was also really fun but different.

What age would you all suggest for reading LOTR to your kids?

I remember watching the movies when I was around 7 or 8 and the scene with the Urak-Hai hatching freaked me out so bad I didn’t watch the rest of the movies until I was 18.

Looking for a Bulbasaur full set of any one has a spare. I have full sets of Gloom, Pinsir, Rapidash, Electrode, Alakazam, Nidoqueen, and pretty much duplicates of any full art from the original Genetic Apex set. Just lmk which ones you and I can see if I have them.

My wife and I are constantly struggle with our remotes.

For whatever reason the AAA batteries in our remotes die within a month of replacing them. I got fed up with it, so we eventually switched from a Google TV to an Apple TV.

However, the Apple TV remote will not control our TV’s volume or power.

I have found a few different apps on the iOS App Store that are either not compatible or want us to spend 40 dollars annually for a universal remote.

I’m not opposed to spending 5-25 for an app, but IAP subscription for 40 annually is too rich for me.

Do you have any suggestions?

This is the app my wife prefers, but the free trial expires tomorrow.

I’ve posted Episode 2, because I never saw episode one until much later, since Episode 1 was always copyright claimed.

I was pulling in the Pikachu boosters and surprisingly got myself a Charizard!

I’ve noticed my hair thinning and hairline receding since I was about 25 or so.

I’ve been using Collagen and Biotin “thickening” shampoo but never noticed any difference. My dad swears by some pills he started taking.

What’s Lemmy think? Is he just paying for pills that are placebo effect?

Might be a local thing, but in the US I feel like all the similar radio stations go on commercial break all at the same time. Is this just an iheartradio monopoly thing or is it some odd coincidence due to standard ad deals?

Spoilers for Act 3, by the way.

  1. Get to Act 3 and start the Murder Tribunal Quest.
  2. Separate your party to have the main thief be separated and invisible.
  3. you want this character’s sleight of hand to be buffed to the max, Smuggler’s Ring, Gloves of Power, Graceful Cloth/Enhance Ability (Dex), Guidance, Bardic Inspiration, Proficiency, Expertise, Shapeshifter’s Boon Ring, etc.
  4. Speak to the Bhaal Cultists and seek judgement from the Tribunal.
  5. Once the spirit is summoned (such as Dribbles the clown) you can move your invisible thief up to them and pickpocket them.

It is a DC 29 check, so going Rogue 10 for Reliable Talent and having +8 proficiency is only going to get you to 18. Smuggler’s Ring(+2), Guidance, Bardic Inspiration, Gloves of Absolute Power and Shapeshifter’s boon Ring give you a minimum of +1. Minimum total increase of +6, so we’re at 24 minimum now.

Graceful cloth gives another +1 Dex modifier, and you can max you Dex with ASI, giving you another +5.

In theory you don’t need all these items, as Reliable Talent gets you a minimum 30 with all these items.

Be warned, as after the thieving is done, combat will start.

What classes do you like to build for everyone?

I’m running my Tav as a Bard/Paladin/Wiz to mimic my favorite character I played from 5e a few years back.

Astarion is a Gloomstalker, Shadowheart is a Light Cleric, Gale is a Fighter 1/Wizard X, Wyll is a Draconic Fiend Sorlock, Laezel is a Red Draconic Sorcadin. I haven’t really used Minthara or Halsik much, but imagine they would stay single classed as Oathbreaker and Moon Druid.

I haven’t grabbed the DLC yet but I am considering it. If you’ve purchased Teal Mask, do you think it’s worth it? I was waiting for reviews to come in for Disk before I bought it.

I live in the US, and can only seem to find a variety of soda syrups that ship to Canada here.

This was my best lead but am looking for sometime similar that ships to the US.
