So the theaters in several cities were run by a franchisee. They suddenly without any warning declared bankruptcy and closed all the theaters they managed in all cities and fired all their employees. The corporate entity that is Alamo Drafthouse (I didn't even know these were franchises) has stated that they are working to reopen in the closed cities, but at this point it's lip service. They seem to indicate that they also didn't know the franchisee was going to take this action, so to some degree it seems like they were blindsided as well. I have become so accustomed to the superior experience at the drafthouse I am having a hard time trying to convince myself to start seeing movies in other theaters (not to mention, their theaters were pretty much the closest to me any way so going somewhere else means driving further for a worse experience). Sigh. This all happened before Sony bought the corporate entity so there are a LOT of unknowns.

And it would definitely be SMS if the prostitutes were using Android.

This meme is idiotic

I am COMPLETELY with you in principle, but am willing to hold that thought until we see something. I would be fine with a Spiderverse/TMNT:Mutant Mayhem art style. But yeah not ideal initially.

Yeah, this was devastating to me as I am in DFW area and I literally haven't seen a movie in another theater chain in almost a decade.

We don't know specifically yet, but what they actually do is also different, not just how they appear.

This sounds like a great plan to me. I definitely don't want to make separate threads for films that no one is interested in, so hilighting anticipated films is perfect.

Yes testing is such a big problem for those coders.

It took me too long to realize what was going on here.

Annorax from the Voyager episode "Year of Hell" really sticks in my mind. A tragic character doing incredible amounts of damage repeatedly to save one person. This episode is probably my favorite from the series.

Having seen most of the movies playing in our local theaters, we went to TMNT, I didn't have much in the way of expectations, but was surprised by how enjoyable this movie is. One of the most fun I've seen this year and the art style employed here is groundbreaking for the space. This movie along with the Spiderverse movies indicate that we might be looking at some very visually interesting animated movies in the future. Definitely worth seeing.

Super Cringe!

The one that comes most vividly to my mind (and I make fun of all the time) "The Survivors" I just couldn't STAND that music box and the Deanna's reaction to it.

I haven't seen it but was thinking about going. It's not playing at my normal theater so I would have to go further out if I want to see it. Any thoughts? Is it worth extra effort to see it in theaters?

It was the first show that I can remember that was able to survive major shifts in the way the story was told.

We've been revisiting Futurama in the lead up to its Hulu return and I have to say the show is still one of the best of all time. The jokes still hit and the characters may even be MORE lovable than I remember. What are some of your favorite moments? (from the old show of course)

I never watched this show when it was new, but I find Sydney and Jack to be wildly incompetent, just magically lucky.

How many missions does Sydney have to shoot her way out of because she made a mistake or a really bad choice?

I am enjoying the show, but sometimes it just seems like way too much.
