Oh ok. I totally understand that logic. The prequels in your eyes took away the mystery factor.
I found it enjoyable to learn more about where they might have come from and to realize that

it's telling a cautionary tale of how androids might come to a point where they believe that logically, humans should be removed from the universe for several reasons. But it also brings up where we (as humans,) might have come from (in a sci-fi sense.) I found it fascinating to explore the layers of the interconnected story fabric(s).
Yeah, I was curious about the same thing, when I learned about the placement of the TV show on the timeline. I liked both movies. I liked the direction they were taking and the story that was being told.
