Brazil feedback:

  • Ultra lifetime, BRL $149.99 - Updated.

  • Ultra yearly, BRL $79.99 - Same as before.

  • Ultra monthly, BRL $9.49 - Same as before.

  • Ad removal, BRL $97.99 - Same as before.

Don't know if it's only the lifetime that was adjusted thought.

Keep up the amazing work LJ, the price adjust is just amazing, thanks for doing it. It was a little on the higher end here. Now it's fairly priced. Really appreciate it.

How to tell you are envy, without telling you are envy.

Ok, I don't agree with the price and all the people that are answering with excuses about pricing more because Lemmy has less users, so people have to pay more for a platform that is still on their early years? That honestly makes no sense to me.

Said that, Laurence (Sync dev) is a really awesome person.

The amount of work and feedback he replies to, makes Sync, while closes source, feels like a collaborative software.

So... No he's definitely not a scumbag.

Honestly, if you're paying to support the dev, ads won't even needed to be added to the app.

While I do like Sync and Laurence, your argument is far from the truth, there are people that will think about paying just to remove the ads. Supporting the dev will be just the bonus there.

Edit:

Also valid to say that a smaller user base don't suddenly mean that you have to charge more, that thinking is, in all honesty, mind boggling to me.

On Reddit we had native ads, that paying for Sync Pro removed, a lot of tracking and data scrapping, well lots of negative points on using the official app, Sync there was a solution to have a better experience, here it's just prettier (imo at least), smother, well polished and makes Lemmy feels like home since it's the same way we used to browse reddit.

Other than that, it actually made the opposite, bringing ads to an ad free experience.

I know Laurence needs to have a income, everyone does. Sync is indeed awesome and being closed source is not a bad thing as some like to argue about, but again not an excuse to raise the price because there is less users currently.

If wasn't for Lemmy existing Sync would be just dead. Simple as that, but I guess no one really think about this.

Anyway, I reached out to Laurence to see if there is a way Sync can at least help with instances also, that would make a huge difference on the way people feel about paying for a app that works on a 100% free and opensource platform.

For a game that's advertised as having "no gacha" this spotlight feels like full gacha mode on.

The removal of gold, the huge nerf to tokens, the awful duplicate protection...

No, I can't say the new cache system is a improvement.

The old system was not perfect but was better tbh. (The time where we had the series drop on a constant schedule).

After they started holding drops (Knull and Darkhawk) it all became downhill.

Series drop won't happen as frequent now. Because they need to have fillers in the spotlight caches.

Let's see how things go, since now we do have a gacha system where saving 4 caches to "pull" on the card you want is the way to go.

Honest question here, is anyone here doing it blindly, or with a map?

I'm trying my best to find them all without any external help.

Buy I'm thinking about using a little help at the last days if I can't find them all on my own.

There won't be a character wipe.

I don't know how much experience you have with Diablo games, but don't worry.

When a season kicks in, you will have to create a new character, your old chars won't be affected, they just won't be seasonal characters.

The game will have a another "realm/world" that will be for seasons, and the "Eternal" realm/world, this is the one where your current characters will remain.

Check when you log in the game. That this is the name of the current world you are playing.

Even when playing a seasonal character you will be able to get to your old one and finish things up with him. This will not affect and/or progress anything on the season achelievments/mission thought.

On D3 we have something called rebirth where you just reset a normal char into a seasonal one, this was nice mainly because some players like to keep track of the amount played with the character. And to save a character slot.

Nothing to worry, keep playing and unlocking everything you can.

My tips is to finish the campaign, so you will be able to junp directly into the seasonal content and open up the map, map, renown and Lilith statues progressions will be shared with the seasonal character.

Hope this helps.

Ask away if you have any questions. Now...

Go slay some demons! =O)

Thanks for the reminder, I still need to get the last one of those.

Totally forgot about this patch changing this mode.

Thanks Doctor.

Not entirely true, while I'm a huge fan of Boost and Sync, I'd say that the more options the better.

Different apps for different tastes, just need to remember when Sync made a huge overhaul of the interface, I love the new one, while others couldn't stand it. So LJ made an option to restore the old look of the app.

That was mean... And awesome!

Any chance for alpha/internal testers like we were on the Sync for Reddit?

Wink, wink!

Cheers brother! Nice to see you around here.
