The Manjaro maintainers are a bunch of clowns. Constantly letting TLS certificates expire, enabling an indev, broken driver on Macs without asking the asahi devs why it was disabled in the first place... literally clowns

Wow, the ban just says it's for posting in MensRights and that no other context was looked at. That's silly, even if MensRights is as toxic as everyone here makes it out to be(Idk, never been there).

Jeroba won't play it but I can download it and watch it in Google photos on my phone

Don't you mean buttbuttinate?

It's replacing all instances of arse and ass with bottom...but doing so in about the most naïve way possible.

Not sure what proxmox has to do with this? All this is doing is allowing VMware workstation to run without out of tree modules, it means nothing for anyone else

Most of the situations I encounter RSA are in projects where I hope RSA is implemented correctly. I have a lot of Let's Encrypt certs that are still RSA and my main SSH keys are still RSA. All of these were generated quite some time ago. I understand the problem with projects that implement it incorrectly but I'd hope OpenSSH and certbot aren't those projects 😥

Fact of the matter is RSA is perfectly secure still...and ECDSA/ED25519 should also be extinct given the rising need for post quantum cryptography

Wut? Game is f2p?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 3 weeks ago

I've heard that too but CSGO is a source 2 game and while I don't play it I do play dota which runs amazing native and valve seems to think it's good enough as the steam deck config has it run native as opposed to another valve game like HL Alyx which valve has configured to run under proton

Did he actually use proton to run a native game... that's just silly

I do whenever there is a vulnerability of note. I don't do it on a regular basis though.

TIL that apparently capital one was assigned the entire 2630::/16 block...which is the largest assignment I've seen to date. Does anyone know of other absolutely massive allocations...are there even any others this large?

I've been using duckduckgo for years ever since I degoogled but I'm increasingly annoyed by its complete lack of IPv6 connectivity. I use NAT64 and so it works fine but it bothers me to use services that don't have v6. Does someone have a good non-google IPv6 search engine that's privacy respecting?

I'm curious about something so I'm going to throw this thought experiment out here. For some background I run a pure IPv6 network and dove into v6 ignoring any v4 baggage so this is more of a devils advocate question than anything I genuinely believe.

Onto the question, why should I run a /64 subnet and waste all those addresses as opposed to running a /96 or even a /112?

  1. It breaks SLAAC and Android

let's assume I don't care for whatever reason and I'm content with DHCP, maybe android actually supports DHCP in this alternate universe

  1. It breaks RFC3306 aka Unicast-prefix-based multicast groups

No applications I care about are impacted by this breakage

  1. It violates the purity of the spec

I don't care

What advantages does running a /64 provide over smaller subnets? Especially subnets like a /96 where address count still far exceeds usage so filling subnets remains impossible.

This has been my setup for a long time now and I have to say I still absolutely love it.
