after the way Di$ney screwed Daft Punk for that soundtrack? Nope. If we're fortunate, Wendy Carlos will do it. But then again, jared Leto is behind this project, so we are not fortunate.

How do you find and watch that edit?

This happened with another story posted — the link went to a disambiguation page for the first word

That was fascinating!

Lovely and honest article.

One thing that made B5 so enjoyable for so many of us was The Lurker’s Guide — a website that broke down every episode into what came before, what happened, what it might mean, and included quotes and hints from JMS. We were such fans that I actually printed out the entire website - it’s in a binder with our DVDs.

As deep as the article is, it doesn’t address a few things behind some of the major issues: the first commander had to be replaced because the actor, Michael O’ Hare, was having severe mental/medical issues, kept private for years; the 5th season was a mess partially because the renewal came so late JMS had put some of the planned 5th season into the 4th season, meaning the telepath subplot had to be (unfortunately) expanded, and Claudia Christian had to be replaced because she had already accepted another gig.

But we are going to have to watch it again. So many amazing episodes. Mira Furlan is amazing. The music by Christopher Franke was fabulous (we own many of the soundtrack CDs). And yes, I STILL get teary-eyed listening to the music from the finale.

I had to work far too hard to read that past ads and popup ads and crawler ads and full-screen interrupter ads. Holy cow!

And that’s why we only got to the theaters that enforce no-phones, no-talking. Alamo Drafthouse, Flix Brewhouse, even our local small-chain privately owned theater pushes the phones-off, shut-up policy. Such a fabulous way to see a movie!

Great article! Interviews with so many people that were part of it, such insight and irony and interesting details! Thanks for sharing!

My suspicion would be there was a story behind this, but can you give more information? Links to stories, actual groups? Some of the lies they pushed? Cussing about it doesn’t do any good.

It comes in waves. It will be (832)xx-xxxx for example. We have a landline at the business and 95% of our calls are spam.

Yes.

I remember years ago, meeting some Ayn Rand fans, and many of us who knew them considered them deluded and selfish. I remember the despair I felt when drump’s election proved that the deluded and selfish had increased and risen. And then the pandemic shone a spotlight on just how many had become proud of their delusion and selfishness. And yes, I sometimes get very depressed about this, but find ways to see the good and positive, and continue to hope.

I grew up with Speed Racer, and was a huge fan of Robotech (we even had dogs named Rook and Rand), and Macross. Thanks for sharing.
