They can use persuasion in Phases 1 & 2 to lower their health too but I think you might be right with the 3rd phase 'this seems to be useless, lets kill!' mindset may well set in.

Yep, as someone else pointed out the bard gets to treat and d20 for Persuasion/Deception as a 10 and then add their modifier.

Still thinking about the boss fight and the other actions surrounding it and the greater context though, lots to think about.

The player in question has been very diplomatic in resolving situations and has appealed to enemies sensibilities in the past. Could simply use that as a jumping off point and 'preview' of the boss fight I guess?

I'm just concerned it'll be too easy and a bit of a let down for a campaign ender. Lots to think about though :)

Samsung A70 here. Decent mid range/ mid price when I bought it late 2019 after drunk me accidentally stepped on my old LG V20 😅

Android whatever it auto updated to, I forget and I'm kinda behind the curve on tech these days. Does the job though.

Good shout, I'm in the middle of organising mine. Here's the 5e content so far with many more in boxes 😅

Wait Star Wars isn't 5e, big dumb moment there!

Alcohol poisoning - drank too much the night before and can't face the day. They'll catch up later!

If you must have them with the party you could run them in a supportive role and simply buff the party where possible (bless, guidance) and keep them off the front lines.

If the players trust each other enough you could have one of them run the character in a similar way to lighten your load.

Beyond that others have suggested good ideas: shopping, a job from their holy order, helping someone in town are always classics.

You could perhaps have the guard arrest them for something and have a jail break as well 🤣

It depends what they asked me to call them really. Other have provided useful answers but honestly I think it depends on your relationship to them.

I tried to start playing online mid 2020 (funny that...) and ended up giving up with Roll20 as I just couldn't get it to work properly.

Foundry dropped in May 2020 and I bought it day one and haven't looked back. If you have even the slightest technical mindset and like to tinker with things you'll love it! It has wide support in 1st and 3rd party content, fan made game systems that you'd swear were official products and so many ways to mod and improve how things work and play in your chosen game.

Highly recommended!

Yep, totally worth re-creating/combining some of those info resources over here. I'll add them to my list :)

Yep, that's the plan. Coming soon-ish hopefully!
