Just by federal law, not state law. Of course it will be a race to the bottom for certain states to ~~attract~~ take bribes from businesses.

Invest in tire companies because managers are going to be buying a lot of them.

There's quite a few different YouTube channels dedicated to finding scrap metal or even a guy who owns a scrap metal business who pays for scrap metal, processes it, then sells it to various foundries to be melted down into something new.

I personally like to buy used items and resell them on eBay. Sometimes at thrift stores, but also garage sales and estate auctions. You can find auctions nearby on a site called hibid. I also sell my old unused items on eBay as well or even parts from broken items. Just look up the item on eBay and filter by sold.

I'm worried they're going to start raiding schools and daycares as well in order to force parents to turn themselves in or just to be malicious. A lot of children are going to be separated from their parents.

Scrap metal. I always leave my scrap metal out on trash day next to the trash can. A guy in a pickup will come around and get it. I would have to save it up for years for it to be worth a single trip, but he's getting a full load or two every day. I'm sure I've lost out on a few hundred bucks over the years.

I'm sure if you started an electronics recycling company or a clean out business you could get people to pay you to take their stuff.

Maga sounds like it could be something an Australian says, but in a completely different context like when you say macas or barbie.

Can't file a patent on something that someone else already made.

This past week we have acquired a new member to the fleet, a "grand" American miniature Van. Upon driving it home my wife commented that it didn't accelerate well onto the highway. I did test drive it and it felt ok, but I hadn't gone on the highway. Today was the first time I've had to merge at high speed and in fact it did take an incredibly long time to get up to speed. I pondered this for awhile on the drive and decided that maybe the aftermarket floor mats were interfering with the gas pedal. I switched them from driver to passenger and vice versa and voila, that sweet American v6 is free to stretch it's legs now.

On one shelf I have my clothes that I wear to work, but as they get worn out I downgrade them into clothes I wear when doing dirty jobs at home. Then finally they get turned into rags.

40M, 5’ 9" tall, size 9.5 shoe, perfectly average.

Come share your dull experiences.

My grandmother had a similar electric organ when I was growing up and I kinda of always wanted one. My neighbor down the street was giving this one away so I couldn't pass it up. I just had to clean the contacts on some of the keys. The pedal is for volume. 11 voices for right hand and six for the left hand combine as many as you want to. 4 rhythm choices, Latin, rock, swing, and waltz combine them together and there is a speed slider as well as a separate volume slider. There are also "genie" chord selections for the far left keys and a sustain slider. There is a huge speaker in the body of this thing.

I've got a couple of older Dell core2 machines with ddr2. They still have good caps in them. They're interesting to me because they have 3.5" floppy and sata cd/DVD and they can handle a newer os. Id like to keep something around that I can pop in an old cd/DVD or floppy disk or create disks from. I'm just stuck on if I should install xp, 7, 10, tiny 10, some flavor of Linux, they have vista stickers on them. They're just in a weird spot where they're not really vintage PC's and not really modern anymore either.

The American Legion's mission is to enhance the well-being of America's veterans, their families, our military, and our communities by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.

The legion is officially a non-partisan organization that focuses on helping veterans.

The legion is making a big push to modernize their organization. This means doing things that younger people enjoy. Come join, even if you're not a veteran or service member, they would still love your support, even if it's just gaming with them.

NORMAL — Rivian Automotive is investigating the cause of a fire that damaged vehicles in a parking lot at its campus on the community's west side.

The company's manufacturing plant was unaffected, said Kelli Felker, corporate communications senior manager.

"We are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a number of vehicles in a parking lot at our Normal plant late Saturday night," Felker said in a statement shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday. "The plant itself is unaffected. At this time, we are not aware of any injuries."

A video circulating on social media late Saturday showed concentrated, bright orange flames in the lot outside the plant.

The Normal Fire Department confirmed that it responded to a fire at the Rivian campus, but could not immediately provide more information.

Emergency vehicles were still at the scene as of 12:20 a.m.

Rivian employs more than 8,000 workers at its manufacturing operations in Normal, where all of the company's electric pickup trucks, SUVs and commercial delivery vans are produced.
